Jets' Lamarcus Joyner: Will end season on IR
The Jets placed Joyner (hip) on injured reserve Saturday.
Joyner had already been ruled out for Sunday's regular-season finale against Miami after aggravating a hip injury Week 17 against Seattle. With the Jets already eliminated from playoff contention, the 32-year-old will look to get healthy again heading into the 2023 offseason. Joyner re-signed with the Jets on a one-year, $2.6 million contract in March of 2022, so he'll be set to hit free agency heading into his 10th professional season.

Jets' Lamarcus Joyner: Won't play in Week 18
Joyner (hip) won't play in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Joyner aggravated his hip injury during Sunday's Week 17 loss to the Seahawks, and he'll be unavailable for the final game of the season. The 32-year-old appeared in 14 games this year and tallied 57 tackles (30 solo), three interceptions, six pass defenses and a fumble recovery. Tony Adams will see increased playing time in Week 18.

Joyner has missed each of the Jets' last two games but returned to log two limited practices to begin the week prior to turning in a full session Friday. Nevertheless, his status will not become official until shortly before the team's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff. Prior to his injury, Joyner had racked up 55 total tackles with three interceptions across 13 games on the season.

Joyner (hip) is expected to play Sunday versus the Seahawks, Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports.
Joyner will make his return to the field after missing the last two games while nursing a hip injury. He'll be back right in time for New York's must-win matchup with the Seahawks in Week 17. Head coach Robert Saleh said Wednesday that Joyner will return to practice this week after missing both of the last two games due to a hip injury, Andy Vasquez of The Bergen Record reports.
Joyner, who's been sidelined during both of New York's previous two matchups as a result of a hip issue, is now slated to resume practicing this week and possibly reclaim his usual starting safety spot in the New Year's Day matchup versus Seattle. While his activity levels in practice throughout the week should provide further clarification regarding his Week 17 availability, the 32-year-old appears in line to suit up this weekend following the Jets' decision to send down fellow safety Will Parks to the team's practice squad.
