Seahawks' Sean Mannion: Gets elevated for Monday's game
Seattle elevated Mannion from its practice squad to the active roster for Monday's game versus the Eagles, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The move would suggest that the Seahawks are not confident that starting quarterback Geno Smith (groin) is going to be ready to play in Week 15, an outcome that would leave Mannion as the primary backup to Drew Lock. Mannion hasn't played a regular-season snap since 2021 with Minnesota.

Sean Mannion: Back to practice squad
The Seahawks reverted Mannion to the practice squad Monday.
Mannion was elevated by the Seahawks on Saturday, just one day after joining their practice squad after being let go by the Vikings on Nov. 28. He was active for Sunday's 28-16 loss to the 49ers with Geno Smith (groin) ruled out for the game, and the former acted as the backup to Drew Lock. Mannion didn't see the field Sunday, though he could operate as the backup for the Week 15 game against the Eagles if Smith is unable to play.

Seahawks' Sean Mannion: Elevated to roster
Mannion was elevated to the Seahawks' active roster Saturday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
It's perhaps a bad sign for the status of Geno Smith (groin) who didn't practice all week. The Seahawks already have backup Drew Lock on the roster and ready to play in case of Smith's absence, so Mannion would be the backup quarterback in that scenario. The 31-year-old last recorded a snap with Minnesota in 2021, when he completed 22 of 36 attempts for 189 yards and a touchdown.

Sean Mannion: Joins Seattle's practice squad
Mannion signed with Seattle's practice squad Friday, Brady Henderson of ESPN.com reports.
Mannion is the No. 3 quarterback in the organization behind Geno Smith (groin) and Drew Lock, who are both on the 53-man roster. After spending most of the season on Minnesota's practice squad, Mannion was cut late in November after falling to fourth on the Vikings' organizational quarterback depth chart behind trade acquisition Joshua Dobbs, Nick Mullens and Jaren Hall.

Sean Mannion: Returns to practice squad
Mannion reverted to the Vikings' practice squad Monday.
Mannion operated as the team's backup quarterback behind Joshua Dobbs in Minnesota's 27-19 win over New Orleans, failing to enter the game. If Jaren Hall (concussion) and Nick Mullens (back) remain unavailable to play in Week 11, it's likely that Mannion will once again be elevated to the active roster for the team's contest with the Broncos.

Vikings' Sean Mannion: Moves to active roster
The Vikings elevated Mannion from the practice squad Saturday.
With Jaren Hall (concussion) ruled out for Sunday's game against the Saints and Nick Mullens (back) not yet ready to return from injured reserve, Mannion should serve as Minnesota's backup to Joshua Dobbs in Week 10. The 31-year-old Mannion signed with the Vikings' practice squad Oct. 11 and last appeared in an NFL game in 2021.
