Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Not on track to play Thursday
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn said Tuesday that Crowder (calf) has not been designated to return from injured reserve, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.
Crowder has spent the Commanders' last seven games on the sideline due to a lingering calf issue, and though he's been eligible to resume practicing for a few weeks, he hasn't made enough progress in his recovery for the team to open his 21-day evaluation window. At this stage, Crowder looks safe to rule out for Thursday's game against the Eagles, and a return to action Week 12 versus the Cowboys might be a stretch, too.

Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Will miss time
Crowder (calf) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.
Crowder suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Cardinals and will have to miss the Commanders' next four games. The veteran wideout has had a minimal role in the offense when healthy, but his absence could lead to a couple of extra opportunities for Dyami Brown.

Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Won't face Arizona
Crowder (calf) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Arizona, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
The veteran slot wideout has played a total of 12 offensive snaps through two appearances with Washington. He was the Commanders' WR5 last Monday night in Cincinnati, playing behind Terry McLaurin, Luke McCaffrey, Noah Brown and Dyami Brown.

Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Limited to sideline work
Crowder (calf) was listed as a DNP for Thursday's practice session.
Crowder has logged DNPs in back-to-back practices to open the week, though he was spotted doing individual drills during Thursday's session, per Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post. If he's able to practice Friday, even in a limited capacity, that would give Crowder a shot at playing Sunday against the Cardinals.

Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Nursing calf injury
Crowder (calf) did not participate in Wednesday's practice session, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Crowder may have sustained the injury during Monday's game against the Bengals, when he played 10 snaps (nine on offense, one on special teams) without recording a target. He'll have two more chances to see the practice field ahead of the Commanders' Week 4 matchup against the Cardinals on Sunday.

Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Not suiting up Sunday
Crowder (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Giants.
After logging just three offensive snaps and one special-teams snap Week 1 against Tampa Bay, Crowder is a healthy scratch for Week 2. That emphasizes the veteran wideout's low position on the Commanders' receiver pecking order, and it also suggests the team is comfortable having another player handle punt returns. Crowder played in all 17 contests for Washington last season, with much of his work coming in the return game.

Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Rested for final preseason game
Crowder didn't play in Sunday's 20-10 preseason win over New England.
It's a good sign for his odds of having a spot on the initial 53-man roster, and Crowder might even get some early season snaps on offense after the Commanders traded Jahan Dotson to the Eagles and left themselves with an extremely thin WR room. Crowder mostly seems to be around for punt returns at this point in his career, but he could get a look in the slot as well, especially if the Commanders want to play Olamide Zaccheaus on the perimeter.

Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Staying in Washington
Crowder agreed to one-year deal with the Commanders on Wednesday, Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports.
Crowder spent his first four NFL seasons in Washington from 2015 through 2018 and made his way back to the Commanders last fall. He had one big game in a Week 8 loss to the Eagles but mostly served as a return specialist and depth receiver. Crowder turns 31 in August and may not have a guaranteed roster spot heading into training camp this summer.
