  • Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Cleared to resume football activities

Ekpre-Olomu (knee - ACL) is cleared to resume all football-related activities, The Oregonian reports.

Ekpre-Olomu spent the entire 2016 season on the Dolphins' injured reserve list after tearing his right ACL in August. Now healthy, he'll look to land another contract once free agency opens on Mar. 9.

  • Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Released by Dolphins

Ekpre-Olomu (knee) was cut by the Dolphins on Thursday, Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports.

Ekpre-Olomu never played a snap for the Dolphins, so it isn't surprising to see him go. He will look to recover from his knee injury and then likely fight for a spot on an NFL roster this coming fall.

  • Dolphins' Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Waived/injured by Dolphins

Ekpre-Olomu (knee) was waived/injured by the Dolphins on Monday, Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Ekpre-Olomu has not been able to play an NFL snap since suffering from an ACL tear in his senior season as a member of the Oregon Ducks. Once an All-American cornerback at the college level, Ekpre-Olomu will have to prove he's healthy enough to play at a high level before he finds another NFL home, as the knee injury has been one that he just has not been able to shake yet.

  • Dolphins' Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Receives full medical clearance

Ekpre-Olomu (knee) has received full medical clearance and is deemed "ready to go" for offseason activities, NFL Network's Rand Getlin reports.

The once-heralded Ekpre-Olomu was a consensus All-American cornerback for the Oregon Ducks in 2014, but has yet to play a single snap in the NFL. He suffered an ACL injury preparing for the Rose Bowl in December 2014, subsequently tail-spinned to the 7th round of the 2015 NFL Draft, and was exiled to the Browns for the remainder of the season, only to be waived by the team in April. Now healthy and part of an up-and-coming Dolphins defensive unit, look for Ekpre-Olomu to try to earn a role manning the slot for rookie defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.

  • Dolphins' Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Claimed off waivers by Dolphins

The Dolphins claimed Ekpre-Olomu (knee) off waivers from the Browns on Tuesday.

Ekpre-Olomu has endured a rough 16-month stretch due to a torn ACL sustained in a December of 2014 practice while still a student-athlete at the University of Oregon. Projected to be plucked in the first or second round of the 2015 NFL Draft, he tumbled to the seventh round and upheld the expectation that he wouldn't play as a rookie. With new management in Cleveland, a recent MRI on the knee was concerning enough for the organization to cut ties with the cornerback, but the Dolphins will nonetheless see if Ekpre-Olomu can channel his previous potential.

  • Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Released by Browns

Ekpre-Olomu (knee) was released by the Browns on Saturday, Scott Petrak of the Medina Gazette reports.

Ekpre-Olomu sat out the entire 2015-16 season while recovering from both a torn ACL and a dislocated knee bone that he suffered while in college at Oregon. The Browns had high hopes for the soon-to-be second-year player, but he's struggled to get himself back to full strength, which is now costing him his roster spot. Ekpre-Olomu has yet to see a down in the NFL, but he's still young and should have the opportunity to try out for other teams once he's able to pass a physical.

  • Browns' Ifo Ekpre-Olomu: Approaching '100' percent

Ekpre-Olomu is approaching full health in his recovery from a torn ACL, the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. In an Instagram post, Ekpre-Olomu clarified, "I'm not quite 100 [percent] yet but I'm close and in the next couple of weeks I'll show you some of the progress I've made."

Ekpre-Olomu would have been a near certainty in the Top 50 of the 2015 NFL draft, but a torn ACL and dislocated knee bone suffered during an Oregon practice in Dec. of 2014 caused his stock to tumble. Instead, the Browns took a flyer on the cornerback in the seventh round, after which he continued his rehabilitation under the watch of a professional medical staff. While Ekpre-Olomu won't have a chance to show off his progress in public until the offseason program commences in April, he expects to take part in its entirety.
