  • Redskins' Josh Woodrum: Reverts to IR

Woodrum (pectoral) reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers Monday, according to the NFL's official transactions log.

Woodrum suffered a torn pectoral muscle during Thursday's preseason opener against Cleveland, and after clearing waivers, he'll likely remain on Washington's injured reserve for the rest of the season unless the two sides reach an injury settlement.

  • Redskins' Josh Woodrum: Tears pectoral muscle

Woodrum was diagnosed with a torn pectoral muscle, Kareem Copeland of The Washington Post reports.

Woodrum had to leave Thursday's preseason game against the Browns with what initially was deemed a shoulder injury, but an MRI showed otherwise. Coach Jay Gruden said the team would add another quarterback to the roster shortly.

  • Redskins' Josh Woodrum: Headed for MRI

Woodrum is slated to undergo an MRI on his shoulder Friday morning, JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington reports.

Woodrum was hit hard during the fourth quarter of Thursday's preseason action against the Browns, and he'll head for further testing as a result.

  • Redskins' Josh Woodrum: Signing with Washington

Woodrum signed a contract with the Redskins on Thursday.

Woodrum initially slots in as the clear No. 3 quarterback behind Case Keenum and Colt McCoy (leg) and the Redskins figure to only bring in more competition via the draft or undrafted free agent market as the offseason continues to unfold.

  • Ravens' Josh Woodrum: Could compete for No. 2 job

Ravens head coach John Harbuagh suggested Woodrum could be in the mix for the No. 2 quarterback job this upcoming season, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.

Woodrum has spent time with the Giants, Ravens and Browns since going undrafted out of Liberty University in 2016. He's yet to appear in a regular-season game but is the only quarterback besides Joe Flacco on Baltimore's current roster. The Ravens figure to secure an upgrade, or at least some competition, prior to the start of Organized Team Activities in May. The 25-year-old did look good in limited action for Baltimore last preseason, completing 25 of 36 passes for 321 yards (8.9 per attempt) with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He then spent most of the season on the practice squad while Ryan Mallett served as Flacco's backup. Mallett is an unrestricted free agent.

  • Ravens' Josh Woodrum: Inked to reserve/future contract

The Ravens signed Woodrum to a reserve/future contract Monday.

Woodrum impressed in the preseason, completing 69 percent of his passes for 321 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions, while adding 42 rushing yards and two rushing scores on 16 carries. With incumbent No. 2 quarterback Ryan Mallett set to hit free agency this offseason, Woodrum has a legitimate shot to crack the Ravens' 53-man roster in 2018.

  • Josh Woodrum: Joins Baltimore practice squad

The Ravens signed Woodrum to their practice squad Tuesday, Jeff Zrebiec of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Woodrum had a strong preseason with Baltimore, logging 321 total passing yards and two touchdowns while also adding two more scores on the ground. The quarterback was included among the Ravens' final roster cuts and was eventually claimed off waivers by the Browns. His stint in Cleveland lasted less than a week though, allowing the Ravens to bring Woodrum back in as a developmental quarterback.

  • Josh Woodrum: Waived by Browns

Woodrum was waived by the Browns on Thursday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Woodrum spent only four days with the Browns after being claimed Sunday, but the move isn't exactly unexpected as he was the fourth quarterback on the roster. The 24-year-old may not crack a 53-man roster immediately, but should at least end up on someone's practice squad after completing 25-of-36 pass attempts for 321 yards and two touchdowns with the Ravens this preseason.

  • Browns' Josh Woodrum: Claimed by Browns

Woodrum was claimed by the Browns on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Woodrum shined in the preseason for the Ravens, completing 25 of his 36 attempts for 321 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran for two touchdowns. Baltimore elected to go with just two quarterbacks, though, and the Browns having just released Brock Osweiler filled the void with Woodrum. He's now the fourth quarterback on Cleveland's roster, so it'll be interesting to see what the Browns' plan is.

  • Ravens' Josh Woodrum: Shines in win over Dolphins

Woodrum completed eight of 10 passes for 110 yards and added two rushing touchdowns in Thursday's preseason win over the Dolphins.

Ryan Mallett got the start Thursday but Woodrum was the star as he led a pair of scoring drives and connected on several impressive passes. Woodrum has now completed 12 of his 14 passes for an impressive 195 yards through two games with the Ravens this preseason, bolstering his chances at making the roster in some capacity in the process. Mallett will likely see a greater share of the snaps in the third preseason game as the Ravens put on their dress rehearsal for the regular season, but Woodrum still stands to see plenty of reps in that game as well.

  • Ravens' Josh Woodrum: Inked by Ravens

Woodrum was signed by the Ravens on Monday.

Quarterback Josh Woodrum was waived in a corresponding roster move. The Ravens are currently looking at multiple training camp arms to compete for a backup role while regular starter Joe Flacco is sidelined with a back injury. Woodrum, an undrafted rookie out of Liberty, has an NFL arm and size, but his accuracy and stiffness in the pocket are concerns.
