  • 49ers' Nate Hobbs: Signs with San Francisco

The 49ers agreed to terms with Hobbs (knee) on a one-year, $4 million contract Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Hobbs signed a four-year, $48 million deal with the Packers last offseason to be the team's slot corner, but he dealt with injuries seemingly all season and appeared in just 11 regular-season contests. Hobbs finished with a career-low 27 tackles (14 solo) and just two pass breakups before being released this week. He'll try to get healthy in San Francisco after suffering a torn MCL in Week 17.

  • Cowboys' Rashan Gary: Deal to Dallas made official

Gary was officially traded to the Cowboys from Green Bay on Wednesday, Patrik Walker of Dallas' official site reports. The Cowboys' trade for Gary in exchange for a 2027 fourth-round pick was made official Wednesday with the beginning of the new league year. A 2019 first-round pick, Gary will shore up a Dallas defensive front anchored at DT by All-Pro Quinnen Williams and former Green Bay teammate Kenny Clark, providing a foundation for the pass rush to get home. Walker reports that Gary will be tasked to line up both at defensive end and outside linebacker in new defensive coordinator Christian Parker's scheme, an every-down role that figures to be friendly for his fantasy value in IDP formats.

  • Dolphins' Zayne Anderson: Signs with Miami

The Dolphins agreed to terms with Anderson on a contract Wednesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. The 29-year-old reserve safety and special-teamer appeared in 14 regular-season games with the Packers last season, logging 15 tackles (five solo) and a pair of fumble recoveries. He should fill a similar role in Miami.

  • Packers' Brenton Cox: Re-signing with Green Bay

The Packers have agreed to a one-year deal with Cox, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The one-year, $2.5 million contract will keep the restricted free agent with the Packers. Cox was a valuable rotational defensive piece, helping out on the edge when star pass rusher Micah Parsons went down in December. The 26-year-old played in just four 2025 regular-season games, down from seven in 2024.

  • Nate Hobbs: Set to be released by Packers

The Packers will release Hobbs (knee) after the start of the new league year, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports. Despite inking a four-year, $48 million deal with the Packers in March of 2025, Hobbs' time in Green Bay has come to an end after just one season. The Illinois product struggled to stay on the field and finished the year on IR due to an MCL tear. Across 11 appearances in 2025, Hobbs logged 356 defensive snaps and tallied 27 total tackles and two passes defensed (all career lows). While the 26-year-old's release does not become official until June 1, he's expected to be coveted by teams in need of secondary help ahead of next season.

  • Packers' Kristian Welch: Sticking around Green Bay

Welch (ankle) and the Packers agreed on a one-year contract Monday, Bill Huber of SI.com reports. Welch will remain in Green Bay for a second straight year after compiling three total tackles over eight regular-season contests with the team in 2025. The linebacker ended the year on injured reserve with an ankle injury, but he now appears to be back to full health. Welch will likely operate as an extreme depth option again on defense in 2026.

  • Raiders' Quay Walker: Picked up by Raiders

Walker agreed to terms Monday on a three-year, $40.5 million contract with Las Vegas, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Walker logged a career year with the Packers in 2025, racking up 128 tackles (58 solo), including 2.5 sacks, and five pass defenses over 14 regular-season games, and he'll now bring his talents to the Raiders as the team's new starting middle linebacker. The landing spot is positive for Walker's fantasy value in IDP formats, as new defensive coordinator Rob Leonard figures to rely on the soon-to-be 26-year-old linebacker as an every-down playmaker and schematic focal point.

  • Jets' Kingsley Enagbare: Signing one-year deal with Jets

Enagbare agreed to a one-year, $10 million contract with the Jets on Monday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports. Enagbare filled a rotational role for the Packers over the past four seasons, making 21 starts among his 68 regular-season appearances while compiling 11.5 sacks. After his deal becomes official at the start of the new league year Wednesday, Enagbare figures to take on a larger share of responsibilities on a rebuilding Jets defense.

  • Packers' Rashan Gary: Deal to Dallas in the works

The Packers are finalizing a deal to send Gary to the Cowboys, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Per Schefter, the Cowboys are slated to exchange a 2027 fourth-round draft pick for Gary. Reports surfaced Friday that the 2019 first-rounder could be moved, and it appears as though that's about to happen. In 16 regular-season games in 2025, Gary recorded 45 tackles (25 solo), including 7.5 sacks, one forced fumble and one recovered fumble.

  • Colts' Colby Wooden: Traded to Indianapolis

The Packers traded Wooden to the Colts on Saturday in exchange for Zaire Franklin, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. It's a straight one-for-one trade between Green Bay and Indianapolis, with the Colts netting a young defensive lineman in Wooden. The 2023 fourth-rounder is coming off a solid 2025 campaign in which he logged 50 tackles 26 solo) and one pass defense across 17 regular-season games.

  • Packers' Rashan Gary: Remains with Green Bay

Gary remains with the Packers on Friday, but all options remain on the table regarding his future in Green Bay, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Gary posted and then deleted a farewell message earlier Friday, but it appears it was premature. It sounds like the Packers could be trying to trade the edge rusher before outright releasing him. However it shakes out, the toothpaste is already out of the tube, and it sounds like Gary's time in Green Bay could be coming to a close in the near future. Gary has two years remaining on a four-year, $96 million extension and carries a massive $28 million cap number for the 2026 season. Gary has posted back-to-back 7.5-sack seasons since signing the extension.

  • Rashan Gary: Time in Green Bay could be up

Gary doesn't expect to remain with the Packers, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. The 2019 first-round pick from Michigan has spent all seven years of his NFL career with the Packers, but it appears as though the edge rusher's time with the team could be coming to a close, with all options on the table, per Pelissero. Since entering the league, Gary has notched 46.5 sacks, highlighted by 9.5- and 9.0-sack campaigns in 2021 and 2023, respectively. However, he struggled down the stretch for the Packers last season, failing to record a single sack over the team's final 11 games (including playoffs).

  • Packers' Xavier McKinney: Restructuring contract

McKinney's $4.25 million salary will be converted to a bonus for 2026, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports. The Packers are restructuring McKinney's contract to free up cap space. McKinney is entering the third year of a four-year, $67 million contract he signed with Green Bay in March of 2024. He has compiled 10 interceptions and 195 tackles in his first two regular seasons with the Packers as one of the NFL's best safeties.

  • Zayne Anderson: Won't be offered contract tender

The Packers don't plan to offer a contract tender to Anderson (ankle), Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. Anderson, who had been a pending restricted free agent, is thus slated have an opportunity to catch on elsewhere this offseason. The 29-year-old reserve safety logged 15 tackles in 14 regular-season games with Green Bay in 2025, while making most of his mark on special teams.

  • Packers' Warren Brinson: Gets involved in back half

Brinson recorded 13 tackles (six solo), including 0.5 sacks, in 11 regular-season games with Green Bay in 2025. Brinson didn't suit up until after the Packers' bye in Week 5, but after starter Devonte Wyatt's season ended when he broke his ankle in Week 13 at Detroit, Brinson averaged 29.8 defensive snaps per game. With Wyatt, Karl Brooks and Colby Wooden all expected to remain with Green Bay in 2026, it could be difficult for Brinson to carve out a much larger role for himself in his second year.

  • Packers' Barryn Sorrell: Mostly uninvolved as rookie

Sorrell recorded 15 tackles (seven solo), including 1.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery in 14 regular-season games with Green Bay in 2025. Micah Parsons (knee) and Rashan Gary played the lion's share of the Packers' available snaps at defensive end in 2025, and Sorrell logged just three games with more than 15 defensive snaps, including Green Bay's wild-card loss at Chicago. With all of Parsons, Gary and Lukas Van Ness on track to be under contract with the Packers again in 2026, it's likely Sorrell will still be playing in a rotational role in his second year as a pro. However, with Parsons having suffered a December ACL tear, Sorrell should see at least a few more opportunities.

  • Packers' Lukas Van Ness: Disappointing third year

Van Ness recorded 19 tackles (12 solo) including 1.5 sacks, in nine regular-season games with Green Bay in 2025. Van Ness also had a strip-sack in the wild-card round at Chicago. He was hit with the injury bug for the first time in his pro career in 2025, limiting him to just nine games after he didn't miss a game in either of his first two campaigns. Perhaps more concerning though, he was less productive as a pass rusher on a per-snap basis than in his first or second year. He's done little to show he is truly competing for snaps with three-time All Pro Micah Parsons (knee) or Rashan Gary, and his role in the final year of his rookie contract in 2026 will largely depend on the timeline for Parsons' recovery from the ACL tear he suffered in Week 15 at Denver.

  • Packers' Nate Hobbs: Ends season with MCL tear

Hobbs (IR, knee) ended the 2025 season with 27 tackles (14 solo) and two passes defensed over 11 games. The starting cornerback's season ended early due to a torn MCL he suffered in the Packers' Week 17 loss to the Ravens. Hobbs started the season late due to a knee injury and also missed four games in the middle of the 2025 campaign due to the same lingering knee issue. This was the first season of the cornerback's four-year, $48 million contract with the Packers. The biggest question about Hobbs heading into the 2026 season will be whether or not knee issues will continue to affect his week-to-week availability.

  • Packers' Karl Brooks: Consistent third-year production

Brooks ended the 2025 regular season with 28 tackles (eight solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one pass defensed over 16 games. Brooks ended the 2025 campaign with 3.0 sacks fewer than in 2024, but he added four tackles to his total to compensate for the diminished pass-rush production. The defensive tackle was a formidable defensive starter who also logged consistent special-teams snaps, adding to his total value to the team. The 2023 sixth-rounder now enters the final year of his rookie contract, and it remains to be seen if the Packers will extend Brooks before the start of the 2026 season or let him become an unrestricted free agent in 2027.

  • Packers' Kingsley Enagbare: Plays rotational role again

Enagbare finished the 2025 regular season with 39 tackles (16 solo), including 2.0 sacks, in 17 games. The defensive end recorded four stops (three solo) in Green Bay's playoff loss to Chicago. While he saw a bigger role in the absence of Micah Parsons (ACL) late in the season, Enagbare played between 400 and 500 defensive snaps for the fourth year in a row. With no years left on his rookie contract, the 2022 fifth-round pick will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
