  • Chiefs' Charles Omenihu: Unlikely to play Sunday

Coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Omenihu (knee) is unlikely to play in Week 11 at Buffalo, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports. Omenihu, who has been recovering from a torn ACL, was just cleared to return to practice Wednesday, so it won't be a huge surprise if he's not able to suit up for game action right off the bat. If he can't go in Week 11, his next chance to play would be in Week 12 at Carolina.

  • Chiefs' Charles Omenihu: Returning to practice

Kansas City designated Omenihu (knee) for return to practice from its injured reserve list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Omenihu has only been out of pads for a little more than nine months after tearing his ACL during last season's AFC Championship Game at Baltimore, but it now looks like he has a legitimate chance to play in Week 11 at Buffalo. His status will be one to keep an eye on when the Chiefs release their official practice reports Thursday and Friday.

Expect Johnson to continue starting opposite Trent McDuffie as one of the Chiefs' top outside cornerbacks, especially after Sunday's performance.

  • Chiefs' Tershawn Wharton: Questionable for Sunday

Wharton (knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. Wharton upgraded to limited participation Friday after opening Kansas City's week of practice with consecutive DNPs, so he appears to be trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday. However, if the 26-year-old is unable to play in Week 10, expect Marlon Tuipulotu to see increased work as one of the Chiefs' top rotational interior defensive linemen.

  • Chiefs' Nazeeh Johnson: Opens week with full practice

Johnson (concussion) was a full practice participant Wednesday. Johnson missed Monday's game against the Buccaneers due to a concussion he suffered in Week 8 against the Raiders. Across seven regular-season games, Johnson has logged 14 tackles (six solo).

  • Chiefs' Mike Danna: Logs full practice Wednesday

Danna (pectoral) was a full practice participant Wednesday. Danna missed the Chiefs' last three games due to a pectoral injury, but the 2020 fifth-round pick appears to be over the issue as he was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday's injury report. • Chiefs' Charles Omenihu: Expects return to practice soon

Coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that Omenihu (knee) is "getting close" to returning to practice, Adam Teicher of ESPN.com reports. With that said, his coach's comments suggest he might have a chance to come back in Week 11.
