  • Saints' Chase Young: Clear for Monday

Young (illness) does not carry a designation ahead of Monday's game against the Packers. Young missed practice Thursday and Friday with an illness before returning as a full participant Saturday. The 2020 No. 2 overall pick has been productive in his first season with New Orleans, tallying 25 tackles, including 5.5 sacks, and two passes defended. He should reprise his role as the team's top rotational edge rusher behind Cameron Jordan and Carl Granderson on Monday.

  • Saints' Chase Young: Misses Friday's practice

Young (illness) didn't practice Friday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports. The 25-year-old has now missed two consecutive practices due to an illness, putting his status for the Saints' Week 16 matchup against the Packers in doubt. Young almost certainly needs to upgrade to at least limited practice participation Saturday in order to play Monday night. If he's unable to do so, Payton Turner is likely to serve as New Orleans' top rotational edge rusher.

  • Saints' Tanoh Kpassagnon: On track to play Week 16

Kpassagnon (Achilles) was not listed on the Saints' injury report Thursday. Kpassagnon tore his Achilles in the offseason, which prevented him from playing up to this point in the regular season. He was activated off the reserve/PUP list this past Saturday, and while he wasn't able to play in Week 15 against the Commanders, his absence from Thursday's injury report indicates that he is on track to make his 2024 regular-season debut against the Packers on Monday. Across 17 regular-season games with the Saints in 2023, Kpassagnon registered 19 tackles (12 solo), including 3.5 sacks, and two pass defenses.

  • Saints' Kool-Aid McKinstry: Full practice participant Thursday

McKinstry (neck/shoulder) was a full participant in Thursday's practice. McKinstry was knocked out of the Saints' Week 15 loss to the Commanders due to a neck injury, and he finished the game with six tackles (four solo). It doesn't appear to be a lasting issue, as he was able to practice without limitations in New Orleans' first official session of the week Thursday. Barring any setbacks, McKinstry should be able to suit up against Green Bay on Monday. The rookie second-round pick has logged 33 tackles (26 solo) and five pass defenses across 12 regular-season games.
