  • Raiders' Tonka Hemingway: Plays sparingly as a rookie

Hemingway played in just nine regular-season games as a rookie in 2025, as he was a healthy scratch for the other eight, though he did record 4.0 sacks among his nine tackles (eight solo). The defensive lineman also broke up a pass and recovered a fumble. Hemingway did manage to get on the field in each of the last five games and in seven of the last nine, playing more than 30 percent of the defensive snaps in six of those contests. The fourth-round pick will try to earn a bigger role in 2026.

  • Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Viewed as key player by new coach

Speaking at his introductory press conference Tuesday, new Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak said he wants Crosby (knee) "to be a part of our success going forward, there's no doubt about that," Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. "I got to a cup of coffee with Maxx this morning," Kubiak said, via Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com. "Love talking with him. And look forward to continuing those conversations. He was the first one in here working out. So that fired me up." There has been a lot of smoke since the season ended that Crosby wants out of Las Vegas after the Raiders forced him to sit out the final two games of the regular season due to a minor knee injury that required surgery in January, as a way to help the Raiders secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 Draft. However, Crosby has been extremely loyal to the Raiders since he was drafted in 2019, and he's a fan favorite. Getting the 28-year-old back on board should be one of the top priorities for the new coaching staff. Whether he's traded or not, Crosby is expected to complete his rehab from surgery well ahead of training camp.

  • Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Forced to sit out

Crosby (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Giants. Ryan McFadden of ESPN.com reports that Crosby left the team facility after hearing of the final decision. It is no surprise the defensive end was unhappy with the result, as he stated earlier in the week that he doesn't care about the Raiders securing the No. 1 overall draft pick, saying, "I don't play for that". If this is to be the end of Crosby's season, the 28-year-old will finish with 73 tackles (45 solo), including 10.0 sacks, and six passes defensed (including two interceptions) through 15 games.

  • Raiders' Maxx Crosby: Won't play Sunday

Crosby (knee) was informed that he'll be ruled out for Sunday's game against the Giants, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Crosby suffered a knee injury in Week 4 against the Bears that he has been playing through all season. Since acquiring the injury, the defensive end has logged six games with a 100 percent defensive snap rate and has dodged an injury designation nearly every week. It may not be a coincidence that the 28-year-old's health is being preserved during a matchup that could determine the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft, as the 2-13 Raiders are set to take on the 2-13 Giants.
