  • Eagles' Zack Baun: Still limited at practice Friday

Baun (hand) was a limited participant at practice Friday, Andrew DiCecco of InsideTheBirds.com reports. Baun was a surprise addition to the Eagles' injury report Thursday with a hand issue, and he's still not at 100 percent as the team continues its preparations for Week 14. He'll probably have to practice in full Saturday to avoid carrying an injury designation ahead of Monday's game against the Chargers.

  • Eagles' Marcus Epps: Full participant in practice

Epps (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Thursday. The safety was designated to return from injured reserve two days ago, opening his practice window. Now that he's able to practice, Epps might have a chance to play Monday night against the Chargers. Epps logged 15 defensive snaps and 119 special-teams snaps before suffering the injury in Week 8.

  • Eagles' Jaelan Phillips: Limited Thursday

Phillips (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Thursday. The edge rusher suffered the concussion late in last Friday's game against the Bears, and he was clearly dazed as he made his way to the sideline. Phillips will need to clear the league's concussion protocol to have a chance to play Monday against the Chargers. The former Dolphin has 15 tackles (eight solo), including 1.0 sacks, a pass breakup and a fumble recovery in four games since being traded to the Eagles.

  • Eagles' Zack Baun: Dealing with hand injury

Baun (hand) was a limited participant during Thursday's practice session. The issue appears to be new for the inside linebacker, though his ability to practice might be a sign that it's nothing significant. Baun has played on nearly defensive snap this season for Philadelphia, recording 96 total tackles (51 solo), including 3.0 sacks, six passes defensed, including an interception, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. If he ultimately can't suit up versus Los Angeles, Jihaad Campbell could be in line to see more snaps in Monday's night's game.

  • Eagles' Jalen Carter: Unlikely to play Monday

Carter is expected to miss Monday's game at the Chargers after undergoing procedures on both of his shoulders this week, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The development has left Carter week-to-week, and Schefter also reports that while this may turn into a multi-week absence for the third-year pro, injured reserve doesn't appear to be an option for him for the time being. Through 11 games this season, Carter has tallied 32 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, and six pass defenses. Byron Young figures to be the biggest beneficiary during Carter's absence alongside DTs Jordan Davis and Moro Ojomo.

  • Eagles' Sydney Brown: Logs six stops in starting role

Brown finished Friday's Week 13 loss to Chicago with six tackles (three solo). Brown was on the field for all but two of Philadelphia's 87 defensive snaps as he moved into a starting role as a result of Andrew Mukuba (ankle) landing on IR on Wednesday. Mukuba could very well be out for the remainder of the season, so Brown figures to retain the starting role moving forward. Prior to Friday, he had been working mostly on special teams this season.

The third-year defensive end has 32 tackles, including 2.0 sacks, along with six defensed passes on the campaign.

  • Eagles' Zack Baun: Registers eight stops in defeat

Baun totaled eight tackles (three solo) Friday in a Week 13 loss to Chicago. Baun finished the game as the Eagles' fourth-leading tackler. He's been very consistent in that category this season, logging at least six tackles in each of Philadelphia's first 12 contests. That gives Baun a very reliable IDP floor.

  • Eagles' Nakobe Dean: Tallies 12 stops in Week 13 loss

Dean posted 12 tackles (five solo) and a defensed pass Friday in a loss to the Bears. Dean's tackle total was second highest on Philadelphia behind Reed Blankenship's 14. It was also by far Dean's best mark of the campaign; previously, his season-high mark had been seven in Week 10 against Green Bay. Dean had posted a sack in three straight contests coming into Friday, and though he couldn't extend that streak, he continues to be a viable IDP asset after missing the first five games of the campaign while recovering from a knee injury.

  • Eagles' Reed Blankenship: Racks up huge tackle total in loss

Blankenship tallied 14 tackles (eight solo) Friday in a Week 13 loss to Chicago. Blankenship led the Eagles in stops while recording easily his highest mark of the season. • Eagles' Brandon Graham: No designation for Friday

Graham (groin) doesn't carry an injury designation for Friday's matchup with the Bears. After failing to participate in Tuesday's walkthrough practice, Graham was able to fully take part Wednesday and dodge injury designation for Friday's contest. The linebacker's presence provides great depth to an already strong Eagles linebacker room heading into the afternoon clash.

  • Eagles' Reed Blankenship: Good to go for Black Friday

Blankenship is clear of an injury designation ahead of Friday's matchup against the Bears. Blankenship sustained a thigh injury in the Week 12 loss to the Cowboys, but two limited practices earlier in the week, capped off with a full practice Thursday, were enough to stave off an injury designation heading into Friday's game. The starting safety's health will be key to the Eagles' success in Friday afternoon's clash with the Bears.

  • Eagles' Andrew Mukuba: Lands on injured reserve

The Eagles placed Mukuba (ankle) on injured reserve Wednesday, Chris McPherson of the team's official site reports. Mukuba fractured his right ankle during the Eagles' 24-21 overtime loss to the Cowboys this past Sunday. His placement on IR means he'll be forced to miss at least the next four games, though considering he's undergoing surgery, it's unclear whether he'll be available to return this season, even if the Eagles qualify for the playoffs. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio told reporters Wednesday that Sydney Brown is slated to start at safety alongside Reed Blankenship (thigh) in Mukuba's absence.

  • Eagles' Reed Blankenship: Limited to open week

Blankenship (thigh) was listed as a limited practice participant on Tuesday's estimated report. Blankenship suffered a thigh injury during the third quarter of Sunday's overtime loss to the Cowboys, and he was unable to return to that contest. Per Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia, defensive coordinator Vic Fangio indicated Tuesday that he expects Blankenship to be available for Friday's game against the Bears, and the latter's ability to open the week with a limited practice session indicates that the injury isn't considered a serious one. Blankenship will have two more opportunities to increase his practice participation and avoid an injury designation ahead of Friday's contest.
