Tyms (undisclosed) reached an injury settlement with the Colts on Saturday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Tyms was on the Colts injured reserve list prior to reaching this settlement. The 27-year-old wide out caught five passes on the Patriots last season.

Colts' Brian Tyms: Placed on injured reserve
Tyms was placed on injured reserve after suffering an undisclosed injury in Friday's practice, the Indianapolis Star reports.
Tyms, who was seen leaving practice with a possible rib injury, was perhaps the leading candidate for the fourth wide receiver role after a strong spring. Indy's depth chart after the top three receivers is a wide open competition this summer with Tyms out.

Tyms stood out in spring practices and got plenty of time with the No. 1 offense, the Indianapolis Star reports.
The Colts top trio of wide receivers consists of T.Y. Hilton, Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett, but the rest of of the depth chart is unsettled. Quan Bray could make the team as a returner, but Tyms and Josh Boyce will compete for roster spots as the fourth and fifth receivers.

Colts' Brian Tyms: Headed for Indy
The Colts have signed Tyms, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.
The Colts bolstered their depth at wideout Thursday by adding a pair of former New England pass-catchers to the mix, in Tyms and Josh Boyce. With the 27-year-old Tyms, the team adds a 6-foot-3, 204-pounder who brings good size and some potential as a deep threat to the table.
