Jeremy Hill: Announces retirement
Hill officially announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
A second-round pick of the Bengals in 2014, Hill was a workhorse through his first three NFL seasons, carrying 667 times for 2,757 yards and 29 touchdowns during that time. However, the LSU product suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the middle of the 2017 campaign and tore his ACL in Week 1 of 2018 season and hasn't played since. He attempted a comeback in 2020 but wasn't able to latch on with a team and had remained a free agent.

Jeremy Hill: Sent off by Raiders
The Raiders released Hill on Wednesday, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
Hill's time with the Raiders amounted to three days, and this move comes on the heels of Devontae Booker being activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday. At the very least, Hill has proved the health of his right knee and will look to land an opportunity with another organization.

Raiders' Jeremy Hill: Links up with Raiders
The Raiders have signed Hill to a contract, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
After hosting Hill on Friday and running him through a workout, physical and COVID-19 test, Las Vegas has added another player to the running back ranks. The Raiders' backfield is led by Josh Jacobs while Jalen Richard handles pass-catching duties, but Hill nonetheless will compete for a reserve role with fellow veteran Devontae Booker (illness). Hill spent the 2019 season away from football due to his recovery from a torn right ACL.

Jeremy Hill: Drawing close to joining Raiders
The Raiders are expected to sign Hill to a contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Hill didn't play in 2019 due to his recovery from a torn ACL in his right knee. As a result, the aforementioned move is pending a physical and COVID-19 testing. If the signing goes through, he'll join a backfield led by second-year pro Josh Jacobs and complemented by receiving back Jalen Richard. Considering rookie Lynn Bowden and Devontae Booker (illness) also are in the ranks, Hill will have a difficult climb to the regular-season roster.

Jeremy Hill: Works out with Texans
Hill had a recent workout with the Texans, Aaron Reiss of The Athletic reports.
After back-to-back injury-plagued seasons in which he suited up for just eight games, Hill seems to have reached the end of the road in his recovery from a torn ACL in his right knee, which he sustained in Week 1 of the 2018 campaign. The Texans aren't necessarily hurting at running back, with Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson leading the way, but Hill would add valuable veteran depth if he's deemed able to contribute and earns a contract.

Jeremy Hill: Hoping for signing soon
Hill (knee) anticipates signing with a team once he receives medical clearance, Herbie Teope of The New Orleans Advocate reports.
Hill tore the ACL in his right knee during a Week 1 game with the Patriots last season, after beating out Mike Gillislee for a roster spot. The 27-year-old running back never lived up to the promise of his impressive rookie season, but he may still have something to offer as a bruiser for short-yardage situations and clock-killing work. Even so, Hill will face an uphill battle to earn a spot on the 53-man roster if/when he signs with an NFL team.

Patriots' Jeremy Hill: Undergoes surgery on torn ACL
Hill tweeted Monday that he underwent ACL reconstruction on his right knee.
Hill suffered the ligament tear in his Patriots debut Week 1, ending his fifth pro campaign shortly after it started. The injury marked his second consecutive season-ender, and he waited nearly two months before going under the knife. Kevin Duffy of MassLive.com noted players occasionally push back ACL surgery to "restore muscle strength/range of motion," which appears to have been the track taken by Hill. It'll be interesting to see if the delayed procedure also modifies Hill's recovery timeline, which could now extend into the 2019 season.
