Willie Henry: Surprise cut Friday
The Ravens let Henry go Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Henry had a productive career in Baltimore despite battling injuries in his first two seasons. Since 2017, Henry suited up in 17 games, accumulating 36 tackles (26 solo) and 4.5 sacks. The 25-year-old could be an intriguing option off waivers should a team be interested in adding defensive line depth.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Candidate to return from IR
Henry (back) could be an option to return from injured reserve later this season, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
The Ravens placed Henry on IR earlier this week after he was diagnosed with a herniated disc. The move to IR will require Henry to miss at least eight weeks, so if he is added back to the active roster in the minimum amount of time, the defensive lineman would only be available for the final two games of the regular season, as well as any postseason contests to follow. The 24-year-old has made just three appearances this season, logging three tackles and a sack.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Nursing back injury
Henry was placed on injured reserve Tuesday due to a back injury, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
It previously wasn't clear what sort of injury sent Henry to IR. Regardless, the third-year defensive end is now guaranteed to miss at least the next eight games of the season. Look for seventh-round rookie Zach Sieler, who was a two-time consensus All-American during his final two seasons at Ferris State, to get a chance to help fill the 27.3 defensive snaps per game Henry vacated.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Sent to IR
Henry (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
This move comes as a surprise because Henry wasn't listed on the Week 7 injury report and there was no sign that he was injured during Sunday's loss to the Saints. However, Jeff Zrebiec of the The Baltimore Athletic reported that Henry was seen limping around the locker room after the game, suggesting the defensive tackle is nursing a lower-body injury -- and it's also possible this situation could be related to the hernia surgery that caused the defensive tackle to miss the first three games of the season. In any case, Henry's absence should open a door for promising seventh-round rookie Zach Sieler to finally see regular playing time.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Questionable for Sunday

Ravens' Willie Henry: Limited participant Wednesday
Henry (abdomen) was a limited participant at practice Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Henry has yet to see game action this season and did not practice last week, so this is a step in the right direction. Thursday and Friday's practice sessions should provide more clarity on the 24-year-old's potential availability for Week 5.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Sidelined for Week 4
Henry (abdomen) has been ruled out for Baltimore's Week 4 matchup versus the Steelers.
There was a chance that Henry could've returned to practice this week, as head coach John Harbaugh said Wednesday, but the defensive lineman apparently needs more time to recover from his sports hernia surgery. The Michigan product has yet to play this season after racking up 33 tackles (24 solo) over 14 games in 2017. In his continued absence, Brandon Williams will likely resume his usual role.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Still not practicing
Henry (abdomen) did not participate in Thursday's practice.
Coach John Harbaugh had said Wednesday that there was a chance that the defensive end could make a return to practice this week. However, being absent Thursday isn't a great sign for Henry's Week 4 status. In order to have any chance of playing Sunday night in Pittsburgh, Henry will likely have to at least put limited work in Friday.

Henry (abdomen) could return to practice this week, Clifton Brown of the Raven's official site reports.
Coach John Harbaugh said, "there's a chance" that Henry could practice ahead of Week 4's tilt against the Steelers. The second-year defensive lineman is still considered week-to-week as he recovers from sports hernia surgery but he appears to be making progress. Baltimore will slot Henry into the defensive scheme whenever the 2016 fourth-rounder is able to return to the field.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Ruled out for Week 3
Henry (abdomen) will not play in Sunday's game against the Broncos, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Henry continues to recover from sports hernia surgery undergone during the offseason. The second-year defensive lineman should be considered week-to-week, and Brandon Williams will once again receive an increased defensive role in Week 3 while Henry remains sidelined. When Henry is eventually able to get healthy, he's in line to slot in as a key defensive piece for Baltimore.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Ruled out for Thursday
Henry (sports hernia) will not suit up against the Bengals on Thursday, freelance NFL writer Jeff Zrebiec reports.
Henry is still recovering from offseason sports hernia surgery and remains week-to-week. The second-year defensive lineman looks in line for a key defensive role whenever he does recover, but Brandon Williams will remain the uncontested starter at Baltimore's right defensive end position for the time being.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Has surgery, week-to-week
Henry underwent surgery for an umbilical hernia and will be out for several weeks.
Ravens coach John Harbaugh said Henry will be considered week-to-week once the regular season begins. The second-year defensive lineman was in the hunt for a starting gig thanks to his potential as a run-stuffer. His absence will hurt the defense early; the Ravens open with games against Buffalo's LeSean McCoy, Cincinnati's Joe Mixon, Denver's Devontae Booker and Pittsburgh's Le'Veon Bell over the first four weeks of the season.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Adds to sack total Saturday
Henry had four tackles (three solo) and a sack in Saturday's win over the Colts.
Henry's season sack total now sits at 3.5, and he's had a fairly productive season for a defensive tackle seeing limited snaps. The 23-year-old shouldn't crack the IDP radar in Week 17 for the Ravens' matchup with the Bengals.

Ravens' Willie Henry: Hops on fumble Sunday
Henry had two tackles (one solo) and a fumble recovery in Sunday's win against the Lions.
Henry has been a utility asset on the Ravens' defensive line, as he is listed as a backup, but he consistently plays more than 40 defensive snaps. The second-year pro has a decent stat line, too, with 27 tackles, 2.5 sacks, five pass breakups and two fumble recoveries through 10 games.
