Dolphins' Parry Nickerson: Signing with Miami
Nickerson agreed to sign with the Dolphins on Sunday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Nickerson went unsigned after failing to win a roster spot with the Vikings in 2022, but he'll now have an opportunity to compete for a spot on the Dolphins' roster ahead of the 2023 campaign. He seems like a long shot to remain with Miami for the start of the regular season.

Parry Nickerson: Released by Vikings
The Vikings released Nickerson on Tuesday, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports.
Nickerson sustained a lower leg injury in mid-August but tallied two solo tackles while playing 29 percent of the Vikings' defensive snaps during Saturday's preseason finale against the Broncos. While he seems to have moved past his prior injury, he'll be forced to seek out other opportunities ahead of the regular season.

Nickerson (illness) was elevated from the Vikings' practice squad after being activated from the practice squad COVID-19 list Saturday, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Nickerson hasn't appeared in a game since Week 5, though he'll be active again for the season finale. He has played exclusively on special teams and figures to fill a similar role Sunday against the Bears.

Nickerson was placed on the Vikings' practice squad COVID list, Craig Peters of the Vikings' official site reports, which was a result of testing positive for the virus, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Nickerson has appeared in three games for the Vikings this season. He'll have to clear COVID protocols quickly if he wants to finish the season on the Vikings' practice field.
