Khiry Robinson: Invited to Jets' minicamp
Robinson (leg) has been invited to participate in the Jets' minicamp as a tryout.
The Jets released Robinson in March, as he had a prolonged recovery from a broken leg. However, the team has opted to bring him back to minicamp as a tryout. Coach Todd Bowles stated, "We just wanted to see where he was physically" in reference to Robinson's invite. The veteran figures to compete for a job providing depth at running back if he is able to stay healthy.

Robinson (leg) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Randy Lange of the team's official site reports.
Robinson broke his leg in Saturday's loss to the Patriots, the second time he's done so in the past two seasons. The Jets added fellow running back Brandon Burks to the active roster to replace Robinson for the final game of the season.

Jets' Khiry Robinson: Breaks leg again
Robinson will miss the rest of the season due to a broken leg, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
The development marks the second time in as many seasons that Robinson will be felled by a leg fracture. In Week 8 last year, he broke the tibia in his right leg as a member of the Saints. Quickly reaching agreement on a contract with the Jets in free agency, he made just one appearance in the preseason before he was among the team's final cuts. He didn't land another gig until early December (again with the Jets) and made his sole showing of the current campaign Saturday in New England, where he managed eight carries for 22 yards. According to Rich Cimini of ESPN.com, Robinson has now suffered three separate breaks in this particular leg, meaning he may be hard-pressed to land anything more than a prove-it deal in the offseason.

Jets' Khiry Robinson: Limited Wednesday
Robinson (leg) was limited at practice Wednesday.
Robinson was held out of action with a lower-leg injury last week against the Dolphins, and his status is now clouded as the Jets' Week 16 matchup with New England approaches. More information should emerge over the next two days of practice, but if Robinson is ultimately held out, Bilal Powell would likely again handle the bulk of the rushing workload with Matt Forte's (shoulder) status in jeopardy.

Jets' Khiry Robinson: Inactive Saturday
Robinson (lower leg) is inactive for Saturday's matchup with the Dolphins.
Robinson came into Saturday's contest with a doubtful designation, so it does not come as a big surprise that he will be held out. Robinson's absence leaves Brandon Wilds as the Jets' third-string running back for Week 15, but Matt Forte and Bilal Powell figure to handle the bulk of the work in the Jets' backfield.

Robinson (lower leg) is listed as doubtful for Saturday's game against the Dolphins, NJ.com reports.
With Matt Forte a game-time decision for the contest, the Jets' backfield depth could be taxed Saturday if their No. 1 rusher is unable to suit up. If Forte is out, Robinson and Brandon Wilds would be in line to serve as the backups behind Bilal Powell.

Robinson (lower leg) did not practice Wednesday, NJ.com reports.
On the plus side, coach Todd Bowles said Wednesday that Robinson is "close" to being ready to play.
