  • Jerome Lane: Let go by Giants

Lane was waived by the Giants on Saturday, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY reports.

Lane was competing with Marquis Bundy, Ed Eagan, Travis Rudolph and Tavarres King for the final receiving spot on the Giants' depth chart, but ultimately did not make the cut. If he does not end up on team's practice squad he will be left looking for a new destination.

  • Giants' Jerome Lane: Signed by Giants

Lane was signed by the Giants on Thursday, Michael Eisen of the team's official site reports.

Lane, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound receiver out of Akron, will be a longshot to make the Giants' final roster. The big-bodied wideout actually began his collegiate career as a linebacker, entering the league with just two years of receiving experience under his belt.

  • Jerome Lane: Waived by Colts

Lane was waived by the Colts on Monday, Tom James of The Tribune-Star reports.

Lane, who went undrafted out of Akron, signed with the Colts in early May but presumably failed to make much of an impression on the coaching staff during his brief stint with the team. He'll look to secure a depth receiver role elsewhere.

  • Colts' Jerome Lane: Signs with Colts

Lane has agreed to terms with the Colts.

Lane played college football at Akron, but was previously a basketball player and a linebacker before converting to receiver. He transitioned nicely and recorded 62 catches for 1,018 yards and six touchdowns last season. The 6-foot-2, 226-pounder is a raw but interesting player that could make some noise in training camp.
