Cardinals' Zay Jones: Nonfactor in Week 7
Jones failed to secure his lone target in Monday's 17-15 win over the Chargers.
Jones made his season debut Monday after missing the first six games of the campaign, albeit it in a limited role. The veteran wideout played just 11 of the Cardinals' 57 offensive snaps in the contest behind fellow receivers Marvin Harrison (48), Michael Wilson (44) and Greg Dortch (17). Buried on Arizona's depth chart as a member of an inconsistent passing attack, Jones should remain far off the fantasy radar heading into a Week 8 matchup against the Dolphins.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Full practice Thursday
Jones (hamstring) was a full practice participant Thursday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
After missing the first six games of the campaign, five of them due to a suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Jones now has a clear runway to a role in Arizona's offense. With Marvin Harrison (concussion) and Michael Wilson (ankle) both limited to kick off Week 7 prep, Jones is getting valuable reps in team drills, which may translate to the field Monday against the Chargers.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Back on active roster
The Cardinals lifted Jones' (hamstring) one-game roster exemption Monday.
The wideout was handed a five-game suspension Aug. 23 for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, but he'll now join the Cardinals' active roster for the first time this season. The ban actually was lifted last Monday, but Arizona was granted the roster exemption at the same time. He picked up a hamstring injury last Thursday, which was enough for the team to use the exemption and hold him out Sunday at Green Bay. The Cards play next Monday against the Chargers, but the hamstring issue could still get in the way of Jones making his Arizona debut.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Won't play this week
Jones (hamstring) won't play in Sunday's game at Green Bay, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports.
Reinstated from a five-game suspension at the beginning of the week, Jones now will miss a sixth game while nursing a hamstring injury. The Cardinals have a one-game roster exemption, giving them until Monday to place Jones back on the active roster. It apparently won't happen before Sunday's game, with coach Jonathan Gannon noting Friday that the wide receiver is dealing with discomfort in his hamstring after returning to practice Wednesday.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Limited by hamstring
Jones (suspension) was limited at Thursday's practice due to a hamstring injury, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Reinstated from his five-game suspension to begin the season on Monday, Jones then had a one-game roster exemption placed on him by the Cardinals, giving the team until Monday, Oct. 14 to bring him back to the active roster. Arizona released WR Chris Moore on Wednesday, thereby opening up an immediate roster spot for Jones, but the latter now is dealing with a health concern of unknown severity. Arizona can clear up any questions about Jones' status for Week 6 on Friday's injury report, but he'll need to have the exemption removed by Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET to have any chance to play Sunday at Green Bay.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Logs full practice Wednesday
Jones (suspension) practiced fully Wednesday, Zach Gershman of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Since he was reinstated Monday from his five-game suspension to begin the season, Jones has had a one-game roster exemption placed upon him, which gives the Cardinals until next Monday to add him to the active roster. They seemingly plan to do so before then, as a spot on the roster opened up Wednesday with the release of fellow wideout Chris Moore. In the end, Arizona must make a decision by 4 p.m. ET on Saturday in order for Jones to be available Sunday at Green Bay.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Suspension over
Jones' suspension was lifted Monday, but the Cardinals were granted a one-game roster exemption for him, giving the team a deadline of Monday, Oct. 14 to either reinstate him to the active roster or release him, Darren Urban of the team's official site reports.
Jones opened the 2024 campaign with a five-game ban for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy. With five games behind Arizona, the team can evaluate him in practice this week and bring him back to the active roster at any point in the next week, including in advance of Sunday's contest at Green Bay. Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday he's "excited about Zay adding in here. We'll find the right ways to deploy him, and he's a playmaker for us, can play all three positions, and he can make plays." Releasing Jones doesn't seem to be a likely option for the Cardinals, so he should make his debut for the team this weekend or in Week 7 against the Chargers.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Suspension to be lifted
Jones (suspension) is set to be reinstated from the reserve/suspended list Monday, though the Cardinals aren't expected to immediately return him to the 53-man roster, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports.
Arizona is expected to request, and receive, a temporary roster exemption of one or two weeks for Jones, per Balzer. The veteran wide receiver received a five-game suspension back in August for violation of the league's personal conduct policy. Jones will be eligible to suit up Sunday on the road against Green Bay, but it sounds like the Cardinals will wait a week or two for him to get back up to game speed. Once he's deemed ready, Jones figures to compete with Greg Dortch for work alongside Marvin Harrison and Michael Wilson.

Cardinals' Zay Jones: Suspended five games
Jones has been suspended for the first five games of the season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Per Josh Weinfuss of ESPN, Jones -- whose suspension stems from an arrest Nov. 13 -- will be eligible for reinstatement Oct. 7 following the Cardinals' Week 5 game against the 49ers. As a result, the soonest Jones will be able to see regular-season action is Oct. 13 against the Packers. With Jones slated to be unavailable out of the gate this season, Marvin Harrison, Michael Wilson and Greg Dortch are in line to head the team's WR corps beginning Sept. 8 against the Bills.
