Bromley sprained his left knee and is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Jets, Ralph Vacchiano of SportsNet New York reports.
Bromley is in line to be the top defensive tackle for the Giants, so putting him back into the game would be unnecessary. Knee sprains can be tricky, but it's a good sign that he was listed as questionable to return instead of out. Bromley's next opportunity to take the field will be Thursday in New England, the last preseason contest.

Bromley's attorney, Alex Spiro, told Jordan Raanan of NJ.com on Friday that his client was "officially cleared of all wrongdoing" in connection with an alleged rape at a New York City hotel on Jan. 30.
Less than two weeks removed from the allegation, Bromley will avoid any charges. The second-year defensive tackle is coming off a campaign in which he ranked fifth on the defensive front in snaps, earning 41 percent of them. Such usage translated to 36 tackles (19 solo) in 16 games.

Police are investigating a claim that Bromley attempted to rape a woman early Saturday, the New York Daily News reports.
Bromley just finished his second season with the Giants, but an accusation as serious as this could make it his last. Following the alleged rape attempt, Bromley is further accused of injuring the woman by driving off while she was on the hood of his car, demanding to be returned to her home. No arrest has been made to this point, however. The Giants said they are aware of the situation.
