Pat O'Donnell: Let go from practice squad
O'Donnell reverted to the Falcons' practice squad before being let go by the team Monday, Terrin Waack of the team's official site reports.
O'Donnell was added to the practice squad and subsequently elevated to the active roster Saturday with Bradley Pinion dealing with an illness. Pinion was able to play Sunday, so O'Donnell's services were not needed and he was inactive for the game. He'll explore his options once he clears waivers.

The Falcons wasted no time elevating O'Donnell, with starting punter Bradley Pinion (illness) questionable for Sunday's game. O'Donnell last played for Green Bay in 2022 after eight seasons with the Bears.

Pat O'Donnell: Exits Green Bay
O'Donnell was cut by the Packers on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
After eight seasons in Chicago, O'Donnell headed north to Green Bay in 2022. He netted 38.5 yards per punt and placed 24 kicks inside the 20-yard line during his one Packers campaign. The veteran was competing against Daniel Whelan for punting duties this year and ultimately came up short. He will now look for a fresh start elsewhere.

Packers' Pat O'Donnell: Puts on show in preseason finale
O'Donnell punted six times and averaged 56.3 yards per attempt in Thursday's preseason finale against the Chiefs.
O'Donnell has been the only punter in Green Bay since signing with the team back in March, so he was not facing any pressure Thursday night. However, that did not stop him from putting on a display in his final tune-up before the regular season. The Packers will be counting on him to help improve a special-teams unit that had all kinds of issues a year ago.

O'Donnell recorded 62 punts for 2,791 yards last season, with an average of 45 yards per punt. The five-year pro has spent the entirety of his career with the Bears,and now remains signed with the team through 2020.
