Cowboys' Parris Campbell: Staying in Dallas
The Cowboys signed Campbell to a reserve/future contract Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Campbell was sidelined to open the season after reaching an injury settlement with Dallas in August due to an MCL sprain that he suffered in late July. The wide receiver then joined the Cowboys' practice squad Sept. 30, appearing in the team's Week 6 loss to the Panthers, failing to record any stats while playing two snaps on offense, but he did add a tackle over six snaps with the special-teams unit. Campbell will now have the opportunity to participate in the Cowboys' offseason activities, looking to compete for a reserve spot at wideout with the team in 2026.

Parris Campbell: Moved back to practice squad
Campbell reverted to Dallas' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Campbell was elevated ahead of Sunday's Week 6 game against Carolina but played just two snaps on offense without getting any targets. He also logged six snaps on special teams and recorded one tackle. Campbell's elevation came with CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot) missing Sunday's contest, so he could be hard-pressed to be elevated again if either of those two wideouts returns in Week 7 against Washington.

The Cowboys elevated Campbell from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
Campbell joined the Cowboys' practice squad in late September after fully recovering from an MCL sprain that he suffered during Dallas' training camp in late July. The veteran wide receiver is poised to make his Cowboys debut against the Panthers on Sunday, and he could be utilized on offense due to the absences of CeeDee Lamb (ankle) and KaVontae Turpin (foot). Campbell logged six catches (on eight targets) for 30 yards and a touchdown across five regular-season games in 2024 as a member of the Eagles.

Parris Campbell: Let go by Cowboys
The Cowboys released Campbell from injured reserve Tuesday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Campbell sprained his MCL in late July, which prompted the Cowboys to place the veteran wideout on injured reserve Saturday. That would've meant Campbell would be forced to miss the entire 2025 season, but the injury settlement allows the 2019 second-rounder to sign with a team once he's fully healthy. Campbell suffered a knee sprain in practice last week that is serious enough to land him on the team's injured reserve. The 28-year-old had signed with the team earlier in the offseason and will be forced to miss the entirety of the upcoming campaign unless he's released with an injury settlement.

Campbell suffered an MCL sprain in his knee during Dallas' practice Saturday, Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The wide receiver left the session early and had to be helped off the field, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. A day later, though, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Campbell didn't suffer a serious injury and would only miss a few days. The 2019 second-round pick of the Colts is trying to secure a spot with a new team after spending 2024 with the Eagles and 2023 with the Giants.
