Blasingame (hand/knee) did not practice Friday and is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Texans.
Blasingame practiced in a limited capacity Wednesday, but he's since missed back-to-back sessions. The 28-year-old fullback played 13 percent of offensive snaps and 48 percent of snaps on special teams Week 1. His next chance to take the field will come Week 3 versus the Colts.

Bears' Khari Blasingame: Joins Chicago's active roster
The Bears signed Blasingame to their 53-man roster Thursday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The 28-year-old fullback has joined Chicago's active roster after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster Tuesday. Blasingame has spent each of the last two seasons with the Bears, appearing in 32 regular-season games and playing primarily on special teams (348 offensive snaps and 422 special-teams snaps).

Balsingame served as Chicago's fullback, playing less than 18 snaps in all but one game. In Week 5, the Bears had injuries to each of their running backs, leading to the fullback rushing eight times for 23 yards. Bears' Khari Blasingame: Extra work due to injuries Thursday
Blasingame rushed eight times for 26 yards in the Bears' 40-20 win over the Commanders on Thursday night.
With Khalil Herbert (ankle), Roschon Johnson (concussion) and Travis Homer (hamstring) all exiting Thursday's game early, Blasingame was called on to help ice away the contest with the Bears holding a big second-half lead. Blasingame's touches were his first from scrimmage since arriving in Chicago last season and the only others of his career besides three rush attempts with the Titans in 2021. The Vanderbilt product will very likely be relegated to his customary blocking fullback duties if at least two of his injured teammates are able to return for a Week 6 home matchup against the Vikings on Sunday, Oct. 15.

Blasingame is expected to be an important part of the Chicago roster, Kevin Fishbain of The Athletic reports.
Blasingame has had three rushing attempts during his four years in the league, but his blocking as a fullback is a critical part of the Bears' blocking scheme in the running game. In addition, he plays on special teams. It seems as if Blasingame has an excellent chance of being on the regular-season roster, though don't look for him to get many rushing attempts.
