Football Team's Darryl Roberts: Back from COVID list
Roberts (undisclosed) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
Roberts missed Week 17 against the Eagles after landing on the COVID-19 list, but he's back on the active roster ahead of the season finale. The 31-year-old has filled an every-down role in his past two games, and he could do so again Sunday against the Giants if William Jackson (calf) ends up missing his third straight contest.

Football Team's Darryl Roberts: Lands on COVID-19 list
Roberts (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday.
Roberts lands on the list for the second time in December. His first stint lasted only three days, but it's unclear how long he will be sidelined this time around. Nonetheless, Roberts has played exclusively on special teams this season, so his potential absence shouldn't impact Washington's defensive game plan.

Football Team's Darryl Roberts: Lands on reserve/COVID-19 list
Roberts (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
Roberts was bothered by a quadriceps injury that cost him six games earlier in the season. He returned to a special teams role in Week 13, but he will now be forced out of Sunday's game against Dallas. Roberts has yet to play a defensive snap this season, so his absence won't affect Washington's defense.

Football Team's Darryl Roberts: Returns from IR
Roberts was activated from injured reserve Thursday.
The 31-year-old has been inactive since Week 5, but his return is a welcomed one as fellow cornerback Benjamin St-Juste (concussion) went on IR Thursday. Roberts had only played in two contests prior to his quad injury while failing to log a defensive snap.

Football Team's Darryl Roberts: Returns to practice
Washington has designated Roberts (quadriceps) for return from IR.
The Football Team will have a 21-day window to evaluate Roberts at practice. The depth cornerback, who was limited to special teams in his two appearances this season, could be added to the active roster and retake the field as early as Sunday's road matchup against the Panthers.

Football Team's Darryl Roberts: Placed on IR
Washington placed Roberts (quadriceps) on injured reserve Wednesday.
Roberts suffered the injury against the Saints during Week 5. He will be sidelined for at least three weeks with the move to injured reserve, but he may miss more time. The 30-year-old corner played a limited role for Washington's defense this season, so his absence shouldn't affect the defensive rotations.

Football Team's Darryl Roberts: Signs deal with Washington
Roberts signed a contract with the Washington Football Team on Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Roberts played the most prominent role of his NFL career for the Jets in 2019, a season in which he posted 63 tackles (58 solo), one interception and six defensed passes in 13 games. Roberts saw a reduced role while with the Lions in 2020, recording 34 solo tackles. While the 30-year-old has served as a hybrid safety/corner in the past, it's presently unclear how he'll be incorporated into Washington's defensive plans.

Lions' Darryl Roberts: Totals 39 tackles
Roberts recorded 39 tackles, six pass breakups and one interception over 11 games in 2020.
After being an every-down player for the Jets in 2019, Roberts largely served as veteran depth for the Lions most of the year until injuries forced the 30-year-old into an expanded role down the stretch. The versatile safety/corner hybrid is now set to become an unrestricted free agent, and his chances of returning to Detroit probably hinge on who the team hires as defensive coordinator.

Lions' Darryl Roberts: Ready to face Bucs
Roberts (neck) is active for Saturday's game against the Buccaneers.
The 30-year-old cornerback will make his 10th appearance of the 2020 campaign Saturday against Tampa Bay's No. 6 pass offense. He's expected to play an important role in the secondary with both Jeff Okudah (groin) and Desmond Trufant (hamstring) residing on injured reserve. In Roberts' two most recent appearances Weeks 13 and 14, he saw more than 60 percent of the defensive snaps in each contest.

Lions' Darryl Roberts: Questionable for Saturday
Roberts (hip) is considered questionable for Saturday's game against the Buccaneers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Roberts has been dealing with the hip injury much of the season and has sat out five of the team's past seven contests. However, he was able to practice in full Thursday following a pair of limited sessions to begin the week, giving him a good chance of suiting up Saturday. If he is able to take the field, Roberts should take on a starting role.

Lions' Darryl Roberts: Unavailable against Titans
Roberts (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Titans.
Roberts missed practice all week and will predictably be sidelined for Sunday's matchup. With Jeff Okudah (groin) and Desmond Trufant (hamstring) already on IR, the Lions will lean on cornerbacks Justin Coleman, Amani Oruwariye and Mike Ford to slow down the Titans' passing game.

Lions' Darryl Roberts: Missing practice
Roberts (hip) did not practice Thursday.
Roberts has yet to resume practicing since he was forced out of last Sunday's loss to the Packers due to a hip injury. With Jeff Okudah (groin) already done for the year, it would be a notable blow for Detroit's secondary if Roberts were forced to miss Week 15.

Lions' Darryl Roberts: Injures hip Sunday
Roberts has been forced out of Sunday's game against the Packers due to a hip injury, Michael Rothstein of ESPN.com reports.
Roberts' injury represents yet another notable loss for Detroit's secondary, a unit that just lost Jeff Okudah (groin) for the season. For the time being, Amani Oruwariye and Mike Ford will be candidates to handle increased snaps.
