Seahawks' Jake Heaps: Pushing Boykin for backup job
Heaps is pushing pushing rookie Trevone Boykin for the backup spot behind Russell Wilson, the Seattle Times reports.
According to Doug Baldwin, Heaps has been the most accurate passer in training camp. Boykin still has the edge, though, as the Seahawks like that his dual-threat style is similar to Wilson's. The team also has not ruled out signing a veteran after cuts start in the next couple weeks.
