Davis (knee) is expected to have suffered a season-ending injury in Friday's preseason opener, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Head coach Matt LaFleur suggested the injury is season-ending in his press conference following the game. The Packers were hopeful Davis would be a special teams contributor for them this season. The specifics of his his knee injury is still unclear at this point.

Davis hauled in two receptions for nine yards and a touchdown before sustaining the injury. He has not officially been ruled out, but expect the Packers to exercise caution given it is an exhibition game. The 26-year-old is trying to earn a spot on the Packers' 53-man roster this season.

Davis failed to secure his lone target while playing nine of the Packers' 49 snaps on offense in Sunday's 40-33 loss to the Eagles.
The second-quarter target Davis drew Sunday -- which was intercepted by safety Reed Blankenship -- was the tight end's first since Week 5 against the Giants. On the few occasions he takes the field with the offense, Davis will likely continue to be deployed primarily as a blocker.

Davis brought in both targets for 26 yards in Sunday's victory over the Buccaneers.
Davis did not do a lot in the box score, but he did have a 23-yard reception and was the only Packers tight end other than Robert Tonyan to catch a pass. Davis remains behind both Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis on the depth chart, but based on both output and snap counts, he has surpassed fellow tight end Josiah Deguara heading into Week 4.
