Clark (neck) announced his retirement Wednesday for reasons related to injury, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
Clark, a 2020 fourth-round pick, missed the entire 2021 season due to a spinal injury suffered during training camp. After consulting with doctors, Clark was recommended to end his career due to the risk of paralysis that would be presented by playing. Clark will conclude his career without ever having played a snap, as he spent the 2020 campaign on injured reserve due to a shoulder issue.

The Jets placed Clark (neck) on injured reserve Tuesday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
Clark excited an early training camp practice in an ambulance after suffering a spinal cord contusion. While the injury was gruesome, the 23-year-old was able to display some movement in his extremities, and coach Robert Saleh is optimistic that he will make a full recovery.
