Bryce Love: Cut by Washington
The Washington Football Team waived Love (knee) on Monday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Love was a Heisman runner-up for Stanford in 2017, but he's struggled to stay healthy ever since tearing an ACL toward the end of his senior season (December 2018). Washington took a shot on the young RB in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, but Love still hasn't played in an NFL game. He spent the final three months of last season on injured reserve.

Football Team's Bryce Love: Season finished as expected
Love (knee) wasn't removed from IR on Wednesday, meaning he will miss the rest of the season, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
It was reported earlier Wednesday that Love wasn't expected to be activated when his window remained open, so this news isn't quite surprising. Love hasn't really practiced much recently anyway, so he'll focus getting healthy and recovering in time to make the team next season.

Football Team's Bryce Love: Expected to stay on IR
Love (knee) isn't expected to be removed from IR before the window to activate him ends Dec. 2, which means he'll miss the rest of the season, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Love hasn't suited up for game action in two years since suffering an ACL tear on the last play of his college career. He hasn't been able to practice much recently and will set his sights on recovering in time to try to make the team next season.

Football Team's Bryce Love: Returning to practice
Love (knee) has been designated for return from injured reserve and will practice Monday, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.
Coach Ron Rivera said that Love showed "burst and quickness" in his return to practice Monday, Rhiannon Walker of The Athletic reports. The 23-year-old was a healthy scratch for the first three games of the season before hitting IR due to swelling in his knee, and Washington will now have 21 days to evaluate him for full activation. The former Stanford standout still has yet to make his NFL debut.

Football Team's Bryce Love: Inching toward return
Coach Ron Rivera said Friday that he's hopeful Love (knee) will be able to return "in the next few weeks," Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
Rivera added that "the opportunity to get [Love] back on the field is coming soon," noting that the second-year pro has strung together multiple encouraging days with the trainers. The 23-year-old landed on IR due to swelling in his knee early October, and prior to that he was a healthy scratch for Washington's first three games of the year.

Football Team's Bryce Love: Lands on injured reserve
Love was placed on injured reserve Friday with a knee injury, Sam Fortier of The Washington Post reports.
The 23-year-old has been experiencing swelling in his knee over the past few days, so Washington will shut him down for a bit to allow a full recovery. Love must spend the next three weeks on the shelf before being eligible to rejoin the active roster. He was a healthy scratch for the first three games of the year, so the offense is unlikely to be impacted by his absence.

Football Team's Bryce Love: Another healthy scratch
Love (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Week 3 against Cleveland.
This is becoming the new norm for Love, who made the final roster but has yet to see the field through three weeks of action. Washington will again proceed with Antonio Gibson, J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber as the lead backs this week against the Browns.

Football Team's Bryce Love: Not playing Sunday
Love (coach's decision) is listed as inactive Sunday against the Eagles.
With Adrian Peterson out of the picture, Washington's backfield was unsettled with Love competing with rookie Antonio Gibson and veterans J.D. McKissic and Peyton Barber. Love's placement on the Week 1 inactive list makes him the odd man out to start the campaign and pushes back his NFL debut. He has yet to suit up as a pro since he was selected in the fourth round of the 2019 draft, the result of a torn ACL near the end of the 2018 season at Stanford.
