Tavares was cut by the Eagles on Friday, Tim McManus of ESPN reports.
Tavarres is most notable for saying he would join quarterback Colin Kaepernick's protest of the national anthem before eventually agreeing to stand for it. He was hoping for a rotational role at best and appears to have just been too far down the depth chart.
