  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Full practice Wednesday

Jackson (tailbone/blood clots) was a full participant at the Rams' practice Wednesday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN.com reports.

Jackson has been working his way back from both a tailbone injury and blood clots, the latter of which he was diagnosed with in June. The offensive lineman now appears to be on track to start at left tackle in Sunday's regular-season opener against the Texans.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Practices Monday, in line for Week 1

Jackson (tailbone/blood clots) practiced Monday, and head coach Sean McVay said the team plans for Jackson to start Week 1 versus Houston, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

The Rams intend to monitor Jackson throughout the week to see how he does after being diagnosed with blood clots in June. It sounds like the veteran will be able to suit up and start at left tackle Week 1 against the Texans as long as he does fine the rest of the week in practice.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Expects to play Week 1

Coach Sean McVay said Monday that he expects Jackson (tailbone/blood clots) to play in Week 1 versus the Texans, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Jackson has been working with Rams trainers since June when he was diagnosed with blood clots, and he's apparently progressed well in his recovery. He is expected to be back participating in team drills next Monday ahead of the Rams' season opener, and if McVay's optimism is well-founded, there's a good chance Jackson starts at left tackle in Week 1.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: On track with recovery

Head coach Sean McVay said Monday that Jackson (tailbone/blood clots) is "on track" with his rehab and is "in great shape right now," Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Jackson has been working with the Rams' medical staff since June after he was diagnosed with blood clots. His availability for 2025 is very much up in the air, but it appears the 27-year-old offensive tackle is taking the right steps in his recovery. It's unclear who would serve as the Rams' starting left tackle if Jackson were to miss regular-season games. D.J. Humphries signed with the team in mid-June but did not play in the first two preseason games. Instead, it has been AJ Arcuri and David Quessenberry who have drawn the start at left tackle in the first and second preseason games, respectively.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Participates in team drills

Jackson (tailbone/blood clots) took part in team activities Friday, Sarah Barshop of ESPN reports.

Jackson was able to participate in team drills for the first time Friday after being limited to only individual drills in the first two practices. This isn't the first time the 27-year-old has dealt with blood clots, as he missed nine games due to the same issue during the 2022 season. Jackson signed a three-year, $57 million extension in February, and the team is hopeful they will have their starting left tackle back for the regular season.

  • Rams' Alaric Jackson: Outlook remains hazy

Rams coach Sean McVay said Tuesday that the team hopes Jackson (blood clots) will get back on the field, though there remains uncertainty due to the nature of the offensive lineman's condition, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Jackson also dealt with blood clots in 2022 but was ultimately able to resume playing. That said, the condition isn't easy to navigate, and McVay has deemed Jackson's status as being "a day at a time." Jackson will be allowed to participate in jog-throughs at the start of training camp but won't do any physical on-field work. If he's not ready to play by Week 1, the recently signed D.J. Humphries will likely fill in at left tackle.
