  • Browns' Nick Harris: Headed back to Cleveland

The Browns acquired Harris and a 2026 seventh-round pick from the Seahawks on Sunday in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

After signing a one-year contract with the Seahawks in March, Harris will return to the team that drafted him in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. The move comes in the wake of the injury to Luke Wypler, who suffered a broken right ankle in Saturday's preseason contest against the Packers. Harris made two starts and appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Browns in 2023.

  • Browns' Nick Harris: Season likely over

Harris (knee) is expected to need season-ending surgery after injuring his knee during the Browns' preseason opener, Jake Trotter of ESPN.com reports.

The Browns were hoping to avoid the loss of their starting center after his knee gave out during Friday's preseason game against the Jaguars, but an MRI seemingly confirmed the severity of Harris' injury, which will leave the Browns without the lynchpin of their offensive line. Ethan Pocic will step in as the starting center, with Dawson Deaton and Brock Hoffman set to serve as depth pieces.

  • Browns' Nick Harris: MRI on tap Saturday

Harris (knee) will undergo an MRI on Saturday, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.

Harris suffered a right knee injury on the second play of Friday's preseason opener in Jacksonville. Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski did not have details following the game and is waiting on the results of the MRI. This will be a significant loss if Harris is forced to miss time. He's logged thousands of practice reps with the first team offense since 2020 and is expected to start at center this season.

  • Browns' Nick Harris: Will not return Friday

Harris has been ruled out of Friday night's preseason game against Jacksonville after suffering a knee injury, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Harris' right knee seemed to give out while he was getting bull rushed on Cleveland's second play from scrimmage Friday. The 24-year-old figures to slot in as the Browns' starting center this coming regular season, so his potential loss could be a major concern for the team this preseason. With Harris out, sixth-year offensive lineman Ethan Pocic should step in at center for Cleveland.
