  • Giants' Cam Skattebo: Doing 11-on-11 drills Tuesday

Skattebo (ankle) is participating in team drills at Tuesday's practice, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.

After doing individual work at Monday's minicamp practice, Skattebo graduated to 11-on-11 work Tuesday, suggesting he's at or near 100 percent health coming off ankle surgery. Already seen doing standing back flips this offseason, Skattebo seems ready to roll for the start of training camp next month. He's expected to have a leg up on Tyrone Tracy as the Giants' clear RB1 under new coach John Harbaugh and OC Matt Nagy.

  • Giants' Cam Skattebo: Taking part in drills at minicamp

Skattebo (ankle) took part in running and agility drills at the first day of mandatory minicamp Monday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

Skattebo, who said in mid-May that he expects to be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 regular season, is roughly eight months removed from the dislocated right ankle that limited him to eight games as a rookie. While it doesn't yet appear that the 2025 fourth-round pick has been cleared for full team drills, it's encouraging to see him demonstrate lateral quickness in on-field individual drills. The Giants may be targeting training camp in July as the next major step forward in Skattebo's recovery.

  • Giants' Cam Skattebo: Says he'll be ready for Week 1

Skattebo (ankle) said at the Giants Town Hall on Monday night that he is expecting to be ready to play in Week 1 of the upcoming campaign, Kevin Patra of the team's official site reports.

Skattebo's comments Monday echo what Giants GM Joe Schoen relayed in late March, when he shared that the running back was declaring himself "ready to go." Skattebo did add Monday that he's not yet ready to take the field for OTAs, but that doesn't appear to be causing him any concern about his readiness for Week 1. New York hasn't added to its RB room during the offseason outside of signing undrafted rookie Damon Bankston, but it did sign All-Pro fullback Patrick Ricard, so Skattebo could be set up for a big sophomore campaign.

  • Giants' Cam Skattebo: Attending voluntary workouts

Skattebo (ankle) is present for the start of voluntary workouts Tuesday, Kevin Patra of NFL.com reports.

New Giants coach John Harbaugh said Tuesday that Skattebo (ankle) is ahead of Malik Nabers (knee) in his rehab, but both players are present for the start of voluntary workouts. Per Harbaugh, it is possible Skattebo will resume handling on-field activities this spring. The 2025 fourth-round pick attended Arizona State's Pro Day in late March and was spotted jogging and running without any apparent issues. He suffered a dislocated right ankle in late October and appears to be on track for the start of OTAs.

  • Giants' Cam Skattebo: Looking fully healthy

Skattebo attended Arizona State's Pro Day on Friday and appeared to have no lingering limitations from his right ankle surgery, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.

Giants GM Joe Schoen also was in attendance for Arizona State's Pro Day and described Skattebo as "jogging around, running, jumping on ex-teammates' backs and stuff like that." Schoen further commented that Skattebo is "declaring himself he's ready to go." Schoen said in January that Skattebo should be ready for the beginning of OTAs, and that appears to remain a genuine possibility.
