Jenkins was with the Eagles' active roster in Week 1 as well, playing 10 total snaps (three offensive and seven on special teams) and failing to record a stat in his regular-season debut. The Georgia Tech product is expected to serve as a depth piece in Philadelphia's tight-end room now that he's back with the active roster.

Jenkins reverted to the Eagles' practice squad Saturday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Jenkins was elevated from the practice squad for Friday's game against the Packers to provide depth at tight end behind Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra. Jenkins ended up playing 10 snaps (three on offense, seven on special teams), but did not accrue a catch. He can be brought up by the Eagles from the practice squad two more times this season before he would have to be signed to the active roster.

Jenkins went undrafted in 2023 out of Georgia Tech. The Eagles have decided to part ways with the 25-year-old tight end just two weeks after signing him to their practice squad. As if trying to make the NFL as an undrafted free agent wasn't tough enough, Jenkins is doing so while undergoing a position change from wide receiver to tight end. The undrafted rookie out of Georgia Tech seems like a strong practice squad candidate, as the Jets knew he'd require ample development when bringing him in shortly after April's draft. The 6-foot-6 wideout-turned-TE could, in time, refine his game and become a useful situational weapon in the red zone.
