  • Eagles' Jordan Mailata: Designated to return

Mailata (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Monday.

Mailata has missed Philadelphia's last four games after sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 6's win over the Browns. However, the opening of his 21-day practice window Monday suggests he's nearing a return to the field. Mailata now has a chance to play in Sunday's matchup against the Commanders if he's activated to the Eagles' active roster in time.

  • Eagles' Jordan Mailata: Sent to injured reserve

The Eagles placed Mailata (hamstring) on injured reserve Friday.

Mailata was injured in last Sunday's win over the Browns and was initially given a timetable of a "couple weeks" by coach Nick Sirianni. The Eagles' left tackle will now miss a minimum of four contests. He'll be eligible to return in Week 11 versus Washington. Fred Johnson replaced Mailata at left tackle following his injury last week and should get the first crack at serving as Jalen Hurts' blindside protector.

  • Eagles' Jordan Mailata: Will get MRI

Mailata will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the hamstring injury he sustained during Sunday's game versus the Browns, John Clark of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Mailata had to be carted off the field in Week 6, so it's possible he's nursing a severe issue. As the Eagles await imaging results, Fred Johnson will prepare with the first team to fill in at tackle.

  • Eagles' Jordan Mailata: Set to miss a couple weeks

Head coach Nick Sirianni told reports Monday that Mailata will be out "a couple weeks" after sustaining a hamstring injury in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns, Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com reports.

It now appears Mailata's hamstring injury is serious enough to sidelined him for the immediate future. Expect Fred Johnson to serve as the Eagles' top left tackle while Mailata recovers from injury.

  • Eagles' Jordan Mailata: Spotted with crutches

Mailata (hamstring) was seen using crutches after Sunday's 20-16 win over the Browns, Brandon Lee Gowton of Bleedinggreennation.com reports.

Mailata was carted off the field after suffering the injury and almost immediately was ruled out for the rest of the game. Details of the injury are still unknown, but it does appear to be on the more serious side. More clarity on a recovery timeline will likely come later in the week.

  • Eagles' Jordan Mailata: Carted off field Week 6

Mailata suffered a hamstring injury against Cleveland on Sunday and has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.

The injury may be pretty serious, as Mailata needed a cart to get off the field and go into the tunnel. With Philadelphia's starting left tackle done for the day, Fred Johnson has the unenviable task of trying to stop Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett.
