Michael Badgley: Cut by Buffalo
The Bills cut Badgley from the practice squad Monday.
Badgley has kicked in each of the last two games for Buffalo, and he's missed an extra point in each contest. Sunday's blocked PAT against the Eagles proved pivotal, as it helped keep Buffalo out of the win column, with coach Sean McDermott opting instead to attempt a game-winning two-point conversion at the end of the fourth quarter rather than putting Badgley back out there for another extra-point attempt.

Bills' Michael Badgley: Misses PAT in Week 17 loss
Badgley missed his lone extra-point attempt in Sunday's 13-12 loss to the Eagles.
Buffalo was held scoreless until deep into the fourth quarter, and Badgley had his PAT blocked following a two-yard touchdown run by Josh Allen. In two games with the Bills, Badgley has looked shaky, making his lone field-goal try while missing two of his four extra-point attempts. It's unclear if Matt Prater (quadriceps) will be back for Week 18 against the lowly Jets.

Bills' Michael Badgley: Back with active roster
Badgley was elevated from the practice squad to the Bills' active roster Saturday.
With Matt Prater (quadriceps) in line to miss his second consecutive game, Badgley will draw another start in Sunday's matchup against the Eagles. Across eight appearances with the Bills and Colts this season, the Miami product has made 11 of 12 field-goal attempts and 18 of 21 point-after tries.

Bills' Michael Badgley: In line to start vs. Eagles
Badgley is expected to be elevated from the practice squad to start versus Philadelphia on Sunday, Alaina Getzenberg of ESPN reports.
Badgley is on track to draw a second consecutive start for the Bills with Matt Prater (quadriceps) ruled out again and Tyler Bass (left hip/groin) out for the year. Versus the Browns in Week 16, Badgley converted his only field-goal attempt and two of three extra-point tries.

Bills' Michael Badgley: Back to practice squad
Badgley reverted to the Bills' practice squad Monday.
Badgley was brought up from the practice squad to serve as the Bills' kicker in Sunday's 23-20 win over the Browns after Matt Prater (quadriceps) was forced to miss his first game of the season. He made his lone field-goal attempt from 41 yards and went 2-for-3 on extra-point tries. If Prater is unable to progress enough in his recovery to play Week 17 against the Eagles, Badgley would likely be summoned from the practice squad once again.

Bills' Michael Badgley: Misses once in win
Badgley made two of three extra-point tries and his lone field-goal attempt during Sunday's 23-20 win over the Browns.
With both Matt Prater (quadriceps) and Tyler Bass (hip) ruled out for Sunday's contest, Badgley assumed the Bills' placekicker duties. He converted on a 41-yard field-goal try late in the third quarter that gave Buffalo a 13-point lead. The 30-year-old has now made 11 of 12 field-goal attempts and 20 of 24 point-after tries through eight games with the Colts and Bills this season. Badgley could serve as Buffalo's top kicker again in the Week 17 matchup against the Eagles if Prater remains sidelined.

Bills' Michael Badgley: Elevated for Week 16
The Bills have elevated Badgley from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game against the Browns.
Badgley is set to serve as Buffalo's starting kicker for Week 16 due to Matt Prater (quadriceps) being ruled out and Tyler Bass (hip) out for the season. Given that Prater is considered week-to-week, Badgley will have a chance to secure a multi-game role as the Bills' fill-in kicker as long as he's able to demonstrate accuracy versus Cleveland on Sunday.

Michael Badgley: Finds opportunity in Buffalo
The Bills signed Badgley to their practice squad Tuesday.
With Tyler Bass (hip) out for the season and with head coach Sean McDermott ruling out Matt Prater (quadriceps) for Week 16, the Bills were in need of a kicker for Sunday's game in Cleveland. The team held a tryout Tuesday featuring Badgley and Matthew Wright, and the former emerged from the workout with a contract. Since Prater is being viewed as week-to-week, Buffalo could still look to add Wright or another kicker in the coming days, but Badgley appears to be in line to get signed off or elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's contest. Badgley served as the Colts' kicker for seven games earlier this season, converting 10 of 11 field-goal tries and 18 of 21 extra-point attempts.

Michael Badgley: Cut loose by Colts
The Colts waived Badgley on Tuesday, Amanda Foster of the team's official site reports.
Badgley's dismissal comes as no real surprise after special teams coordinator Brian Mason told the media earlier Tuesday that the Colts would be evaluating "all kicker options that [they] possibly have" this week. Mason's comments came just two days after Badgley missed his third extra-point try in seven games in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Texans. Overall, Badgley went 18-for-21 on point-after attempts and 10-for-11 on field goals with the Colts after Spencer Shrader sustained a season-ending knee injury. Indy auditioned a number of kickers Tuesday and will sign a replacement for Badgley ahead of Sunday's game in Jacksonville.

Colts' Michael Badgley: Converts only FGA in loss
Badgley made his only field-goal try and went 1-for-2 on PATs in Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Texans.
Badgley was able to convert a 42-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, extending his streak to seven straight appearances with a field-goal make. The kicker did, however, miss his first extra-point try of the day, connecting with the left upright in the first quarter. The miss would come back to hurt Indianapolis late in the game, forcing the team to go for it on fourth-and-9 from Houston's 31 yard line with less than two minutes remaining in regulation, and ultimately the team turned the ball over on downs. Badgley has now gone 10-for-11 on field-goal attempts, including 2-for-3 from 50-plus yards, over seven contests with the Colts this year.

Colts' Michael Badgley: Makes four kicks in Week 12 loss
Badgley made both of his field-goal tries and both extra-point tries in Sunday's 23-20 overtime loss to the Chiefs.
Coming off a Week 10 game in Berlin in which he missed a pair of kicks, Sunday marked a strong rebound game for Badgley, who has now made nine of 11 field-goal tries and 17 of 19 extra-point attempts in six games with the Colts this season.

Colts' Michael Badgley: Misses two kicks Week 10
Badgley went 2-for-3 on field-goal attempts and 1-for-2 on extra-point tries during the Colts' 31-25 overtime win over the Falcons on Sunday.
Badgley missed his first PAT in the first quarter before his 53-yard field-goal attempt early in the second quarter fell short. He made up for those two missed kicks by knocking through field goals from 34 and 44 yards in the fourth quarter, the latter of which tied things up at 25-25 to send the game to overtime. Badgley is now 7-for-8 on field-goal attempts and 15-for-17 on extra-point tries through five regular-season games.

Colts' Michael Badgley: Makes four kicks in Week 9 loss
Badgley made both of his field-goal attempts and his two extra-point tries during the Colts' 27-20 loss to the Steelers on Sunday.
Badgley connected on field goals from 52 and 53 yards in the fourth quarter as the Colts attempted to battle back from a 17-point deficit. His two makes from 50-plus yards matches a career high he set in 2020 and 2022 with the Chargers and Lions, respectively. Since replacing Spencer Shrader (knee), Badgley has made all five of his field-goal attempts and has gone 14-for-15 on extra-point tries across four regular-season games.

Colts' Michael Badgley: Doesn't miss Sunday
Badgley went a perfect 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and 5-for-5 on extra-point tries in Sunday's 38-14 win over the Titans.
The kicker hit a 43-yarder in the first quarter and then just rode his high-scoring offense to five more points throughout the rest of the game. Since replacing Spencer Shrader, who is out for the season with a knee injury, Badgley has made at least three extra points in all three games he's played in, and he has only missed once, going 12-of-13 on extra points and 3-for-3 on field goals. The kicker job on one of the league's best offenses should be his for the foreseeable future.

Colts' Michael Badgley: Misses extra point Sunday
Badgley went 1-for-1 on field-goal tries and 3-for-4 on extra-point attempts in Sunday's 38-24 win over the Chargers.
The kicker's miss came after Indianapolis scored on its first drive of the game. After that, he did make every kick, including a 36-yard field goal in the second quarter that put the Colts up by 20. In two games since replacing the injured Spencer Shrader (knee), who is out for the season, Badgley is 2-for-2 on field-goal tries and 7-for-8 on extra-point attempts, which should be good enough to help him keep the job for another week.

Colts' Michael Badgley: Perfect in season debut
Badgley made his only field-goal attempt and went 4-for-4 on PATs in Sunday's 31-27 win over the Cardinals.
Badgley was signed by the Colts earlier in the week, replacing Spencer Shrader (knee) as the team's starting kicker after Shrader was placed on injured reserve with a season-ending knee injury. Badgley made a 45-yard field goal in the third quarter, tying up the game at 17-17. The kicker is familiar with Lucas Oil Stadium, having gone 18-for-21 on field-goal tries over 12 games with Indianapolis in 2021, and he'll look to build off of his Week 6 performance moving forward.

Colts' Michael Badgley: New kicker in Indy
Badgley agreed to a contract with the Colts on Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
With Spencer Shrader (knee) suffering a season-ending injury in Sunday's 40-6 win over the Raiders, the Colts worked out eight kickers Tuesday. Badgley ultimately emerged from the tryout with a contract, and he'll now have the opportunity to kick for a Colts squad that has fielded a surprisingly prolific offense through the first five weeks. Despite having his day cut short by the injury in Week 5, Shrader had racked up an NFL-high 53 points while knocking down 13 of 14 field-goal tries on the season. With a career 82.4 percent success rate on field goals over stops with five different teams in his career, Badgley can't be counted on to match the accuracy Shrader had displayed, but the 30-year-old should at least benefit from playing his home games indoors. Badgley looks like a worthy pickup in fantasy leagues for managers seeking a fill-in for Shrader or a replacement for a kicker who is on bye or isn't tethered to as formidable of an offense as Indianapolis.
