Williams joined fellow defensive back Brandon Jones in donning a red non-contact jersey. Williams has been recovering from a torn ACL he suffered in the 2022 preseason. Once fully healthy, he'll compete for a depth spot in a Dolphins secondary that added veteran cornerback Eli Apple on Saturday.

Dolphins' Trill Williams: Close to full health after ACL tear
Williams (knee) should be ready for the beginning of Miami's training camp, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
The Syracuse product tore his left ACL in the 2022 preseason, but he's now had 10 months to recover from surgery. As training camp approaches, Williams relays that he "got cleared towards the ending of OTAs," and added that he's eager "to get back out there and compete." The 23-year-old was only active for one game in 2021 after making the Miami roster as an undrafted free agent. He'll most likely be competing for a depth spot within the Dolphins secondary ahead of the coming season.

Dolphins' Trill Williams: Aiming to return for training camp
Williams (knee) has his sights set on returning for the start of training camp in late July, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
Williams suffered a torn ACL in the Dolphins' first preseason game in 2022 and missed the entire season. The cornerback only appeared in one game as a rookie in 2021, logging four defensive snaps. Once healthy, Williams will operate as a deep reserve behind starting cornerbacks Xavien Howard and Jalen Ramsey (shoulder) in Miami's secondary.

Williams said Monday that he expects to be full speed by March and back on the field in time for this summer's training camp after missing the 2022 campaign following a torn left ACL he suffered in August. The 23-year-old appeared in one game with the Dolphins in 2021, failing to record a tackle while playing 18 snaps between the special-teams and defensive units.

Williams was carted to Miami's locker room after suffering a lower-body injury Saturday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Wolfe also reports that Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said postgame that there was concern regarding one of Williams' lower extremities and that the team would learn more about his status Sunday. The second-year cornerback out of Syracuse appeared to go be in significant pain as he held his left leg after going down during Saturday's preseason game against Tampa Bay, according to Adam H. Beasley of Pro Football Network. Williams played just one game as an undrafted rookie last season, but he had apparently put together a solid overall performance while competing for a depth role in Miami's secondary this offseason.
