Caden Sterns: Announces retirement on Instagram
Sterns announced on social media Thursday that he's retiring from the NFL, Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post reports.
Sterns hasn't played since suffering a season-ending injury in Week 1 of the 2023 season. The 25-year-old safety will finish his career with 49 tackles (36 solo) and two interceptions in 21 games for the Broncos. The paperwork to make his retirement official will likely be filed in the coming weeks.

Sterns (knee) was waived by the Eagles with a failed physical designation Tuesday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Sterns signed with the Eagles on Aug. 11 but quickly suffered a knee injury. If the safety clears waivers, he'll revert to a reserve list with Philadelphia, which will force him to miss at least the first four games of the 2024 season.
