Terrace Marshall: Back with practice squad
Marshall reverted to the Raiders' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log.
Marshall appeared in his first game Sunday since joining the Raiders' practice squad in late October, failing to record a stat across seven offensive snaps. The 2021 second-round pick played in nine games with the Panthers in 2023, catching 19 of his 33 targets for 139 yards. He could rejoin the Raiders' active roster if their wide-receiver room faces injuries later this season.

Raiders' Terrace Marshall: Elevated for Week 11
The Raiders elevated Marshall from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Marshall was signed to the Raiders' practice squad Oct. 22 after being let go by the 49ers one week earlier. The 2021 second-round pick is set to make his 2024 regular-season debut, though he's unlikely to see heavy usage on offense, as he's listed behind Jakobi Meyers, Tre Tucker, DJ Turner and Ramel Keyton on the Raiders' wide receiver depth chart.

Terrace Marshall: Headed to Las Vegas
The Raiders signed Marshall to the practice squad Tuesday.
Marshall was cut from the 49ers' practice squad Oct. 15. He has yet to be elevated to the active roster this season, though he could get a chance with the Raiders following Davante Adams' trade to the Jets and Jakobi Meyers dealing with an ankle injury. Marshall appeared in nine regular-season games for the Panthers in 2023 and finished with 19 catches (on 33 targets) for 139 yards.

The 49ers cut Marshall from the practice squad Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
After being waived by the Panthers at the end of training camp, Marshall caught on with the 49ers' practice squad in late August. Despite Ricky Pearsall (shoulder) being on injured reserve, Marshall wasn't elevated to the active roster through the first six regular-season games, and he will now explore his next options. Marshall appeared in nine regular-season games for the Panthers in 2023 and finished with 19 catches (on 33 targets) for 139 yards.

Terrace Marshall: Joins Niners' practice squad
Marshall agreed to a contract with San Francisco's practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Marshall didn't pan out with the Panthers after being selected in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft and went unclaimed after being waived by Carolina on Tuesday, but he could benefit from a change of scenery. The 49ers have seven wide receivers on their 53-man roster, but Jauan Jennings (oblique) and Ricky Pearsall (shoulder) are both battling injuries heading into Week 1, while Brandon Aiyuk held out in training camp due to a contract dispute that has yet to be resolved.

Terrace Marshall: Time up in Carolina
The Panthers are slated to waive Marshall on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Marshall, a 2021 second-round pick, failed to emerge as a consistent option across three seasons with Carolina, in which time he compiled just 767 receiving yards across 36 combined appearances. The offseason additions of Diontae Johnson and Xavier Legette effectively spelled the end of Marshall's tenure with the Panthers, although he could join the team's practice squad if he clears waivers.

Marshall recorded two receptions (on three targets) for 14 yards in Saturday's 15-12 preseason loss to the Jets.
The Panthers held out their top pass catchers, leaving Marshall among the first receivers to take the field. He made both of his catches on the team's second possession, the first of which helped the offense convert on third down. Marshall has yet to find his footing as a pro and is likely fighting for his roster spot this summer.

Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Empty stat line in loss
Marshall failed to come up with either of his two targets in the Panthers' 17-3 preseason loss to the Patriots on Thursday.
Marshall came up empty after impressing in training camp practices, but the Panthers rolled out undrafted rookie Jack Plummer as the starting quarterback Thursday. Marshall got extra opportunity Thursday with Diontae Johnson, Adam Thielen and Xavier Legette (foot) sitting out, and the fourth-year wideout will look to continue making his bid for a roster spot during Carolina's second preseason game against the Jets on Aug. 17.

Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Shining early in camp
Marshall caught a deep pass at Monday's practice, continuing a trend from the first week of training camp, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports.
Multiple Carolina beat writers have mentioned Marshall and Jonathan Mingo as surprise standouts through the first week of training camp. Both are former second-round picks that have disappointed so far, and any fantasy interest in them mostly died out after poor showings in 2023 were followed by the Panthers trading for Diontae Johnson and drafting Xavier Legette (32nd overall). It's still a long shot for Marshall to become useful in fantasy after managing just 767 yards and one TD over his first three professional seasons, but he could at least make it a competition with Legette and Mingo for the third WR spot alongside Johnson and Adam Thielen. Despite being in his fourth professional season, Marshall is only six months older than Legette and 10 months older than Mingo.

Panthers' Terrace Marshall: Plays nine games
Marshall finished the regular season with 19 catches on 33 targets for 139 yards and no touchdowns in nine games.
Marshall hasn't worked out after joining the Panthers as a second-round pick in 2021. The wideout was granted permission to find a trade during the season and was a healthy scratch for a large chunk after failing to secure an exit route. With Carolina set for a new front office and coaching staff this offseason, it remains to be seen whether Marshall will be around for the 2024 campaign, which marks the final year of his rookie contract.
