Rams' Derion Kendrick: Officially goes on IR
The Rams placed Kendrick (knee) on their injured reserve list Friday.
Kendrick tore his ACL on Thursday, so the procedural transaction doesn't come as a surprise. The 2022 sixth-rounder had a promising second season as a pro last year and was in line for a significant role in the upcoming campaign, but now he doesn't figure to return to the field until 2025.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Torn ACL confirmed
Coach Sean McVay confirmed that Kendrick suffered a torn ACL on Thursday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Kendrick suffered the injury during practice Wednesday and the team suspected that he tore his ACL. With that news confirmed, he'll miss the entire 2024 season and leave a significant hole in the Rams' secondary. Los Angeles added Tre'Davious White and Darious Williams (hamstring) this offseason to bolster the unit, but White has suffered significant knee and Achilles injuries across the last few seasons.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: May have suffered ACL tear
Kendrick injured his knee Wednesday and is feared to have suffered an ACL tear, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Kendrick started six of his 15 games in 2022 and 12 of 17 in 2023, logging 1,341 defensive snaps across two seasons after the Rams took him in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft. This will be a significant loss for the team's defense if testing confirms initial fears, even though the Rams signed CBs Darious Williams and Tre'Davious White this offseason. Williams already seemed locked in as a starter, while White is more of an unknown after suffering an ACL tear in 2021 and an Achilles' rupture in 2023 with the Bills. Apart from those two, Kendrick and slot corner Cobie Durant, the Rams don't have experienced starters or early draft picks in their cornerback room.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Sees usage increase in second year
Kendrick recorded 49 tackles (41 solo), 10 passes defended and an interception during the 2023 regular season over 17 games played.
Kendrick was given two opportunities throughout the season to prove his worth as a starter, as he began the year starting alongside Ahkello Witherspoon and regained the role after losing it to Cobie Durant for a few weeks in the middle of the season. Kendrick wouldn't be able to hang on to the starting job on his second chance, however, and was relegated to backup duty by Week 16. Witherspoon may leave in free agency, but the Rams may elect to shore up the position in the offseason, jeopardizing Kendrick's chances of increasing his playing time for a third consecutive season.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Ready for Week 1
Kendrick (hamstring) was not included on the Rams' injury report Wednesday, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
Kendrick appears to be ready to go ahead of the 2023 season after he'd been nursing a hamstring injury the last couple weeks. The cornerback is expected to start in the Rams' secondary this year after compiling 43 tackles and four pass deflections over 15 games during his rookie campaign in 2022.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Returning to practice
Kendrick (hamstring) is expected to return to practice this week, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Kendrick has been dealing with an injured hamstring since training camp but now seems to be close to returning. The 2022 sixth-round pick should see solid playing time this season and could even compete for a starting role in what's become a thin position group following Jalen Ramsey's departure.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Missing time with hamstring injury
Kendrick (hamstring) has been absent from practices, The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue reports.
Coach Sean McVay said Kendrick is "making good progress," per Rodrigue, but a timetable for return is unclear. In a Jalen Ramsey-less cornerback room, Kendrick is competing for a starting job this summer. A sixth-round pick last year, Kendrick appeared in 15 games as a rookie, making six starts and playing 50 percent of the defensive snaps.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Season-best outing Week 13
Kendrick recorded 10 tackles (eight solo) during Sunday's 27-23 loss to the Seahawks.
Kendrick played every defensive snap for the first time since Week 8 with starting cornerback Troy Hill ruled out with a groin injury against Seattle. The rookie cornerback has stepped up into a starting role numerous times in the Rams' banged-up secondary this season. However, this marked Kendrick's first career double-digit tackle performance, and he also paced the team in stops during this tough divisional loss. Kendrick should start again if Hill remains sidelined against Las Vegas on Thursday Night Football.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Clears concussion protocol
Kendrick has cleared concussion protocol and is available for Monday's game against the 49ers, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Kendrick logged full practice sessions both Friday and Saturday and has shed his status on the injury report as a result. He made his professional debut in Week 3 and logged a 90 percent snap rate with David Long (groin) sidelined. Long has already been ruled out for Week 4, so Kendrick should see a significant role once again.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Logs full practice
Kendrick (concussion) was a full participant in practice Friday, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Kendrick's status for Monday against the 49ers is still up in the air, as he still is technically in concussion protocols. However, having logged a full practice and with an extra day to recover, Kendrick appears to be headed in the right direction.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Remains in protocols
Kendrick (concussion) will log a limited practice Thursday, although he is still in concussion protocols, Gilbert Manzano of The Orange County Register reports.
Kendrick is "making great progress," according to head coach Sean McVay, which Manzano notes in his tweet. He suffered the injury in Sunday's 20-12 win over the Cardinals and his status for Monday night's game against the 49ers remains questionable. If he can get fully cleared through concussion protocols, he should be able to suit up versus San Francisco.

Rams' Derion Kendrick: Still in concussion protocol
Kendrick suffered a concussion during Sunday's win over the Cardinals, but coach Sean McVay is cautiously optimistic about his status for Week 4, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Kendrick handled an increased role Sunday since several of the team's other cornerbacks were banged up, but the rookie sixth-rounder had to leave the game in the fourth quarter. He'll have one extra day to clear protocols as the Rams next matchup is against the 49ers on Monday night.

Kendrick handled an increased role Sunday since several of the team's other cornerbacks were banged up, but the rookie sixth-rounder sustained a head injury of his own in the fourth quarter.
