Bolden (concussion) will take part in OTAs this week, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.

Bolden missed the entirety of his rookie season due to a concussion that placed him on IR. The Jackson State product is now healthy though, and will be competing against several other names for a roster spot behind Christian Gonzalez, Jonathan Jones and Marcus Jones at cornerback.

The Patriots placed Bolden (concussion) on injured reserve Tuesday.

Bolden will presumably attempt to reach an injury settlement with the Patriots, so he can sign with a new team after he clears concussion protocol. Bolden (undisclosed) was released from the hospital Sunday and is traveling with the team.

Bolden was carted off the field on a backboard after laying motionless on the turf, which ultimately led to the suspension of the remainder of Saturday's preseason contest between the Packers and Patriots. The 23-year-old's ability to leave the hospital just a few hours after the scary incident is certainly great news. Although the specifics of his injury are not yet known, the fact that he can leave the hospital and travel with the team is paramount.

  • Patriots' Isaiah Bolden: Taken to hospital

Bolden (undisclosed) was taken to a Green Bay hospital after Saturday's 21-17 preseason win against the Packers.

In a scary scene early in the fourth quarter, Bolden remained motionless on the turf after a play, requiring a backboard and cart to get off the field. After coaches Bill Belichick and Matt LaFleur had a discussion, they agreed to suspend the remaining 10-plus minutes of the contest. The Patriots relayed that Bolden has feeling in all of his extremities, but he'll undergo further tests to determine the extent of his injury.
