Tim Harris: Off practice squad COVID-19 list
Harris was restored to the Browns practice squad Tuesday after clearing COVID-19 protocols.
Harris appeared in two games with the 49ers last season, but he was ultimately waived in the offseason. He then went to Buffalo during camp before ending up in Cleveland. He'll hope to stick around and work his way into a role in a currently banged-up Browns secondary.

Tim Harris: Lands on COVID-19 list
Harris was placed on the practice squad COVID-19 list by the Browns on Wednesday, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
Harris has bounced around with several teams since training camp, as he also had stints with both the Bills and 49ers. He since landed a job on the practice squad with the Browns but will be sidelined for at least a few days as he works through the health protocols.

Bills' Tim Harris: Signs with Buffalo
The Bills signed Harris on Monday, Maddy Glab of BuffaloBills.com reports.
Harris injured his groin Aug. 4 and was subsequently moved to injured reserve by the 49ers after clearing waivers. On Aug. 12, the 2019 sixth-round pick reached an injury settlement with San Francisco, allowing him to latch on with Buffalo before Saturday's preseason finale against the Packers. Harris spent all of 2019 on injured reserve with a groin injury and appeared in just two games for the 49ers last year -- registering 18 special teams snaps and zero tackles.

Tim Harris: Waived by Niners
The 49ers waived Harris (groin) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Wednesday, NFL reporter Aaron Wilson reports.
Harris sustained a groin injury early in camp and was waived/injured by San Francisco shortly after. He remained in the organization on injured reserve but will now become a free agent after he cleared waivers Thursday. If the 2019 sixth-rounder lands another contract, he'll likely compete for a depth role or a spot on a team's practice squad.
