Dolphins' Nik Needham: Returning to Miami
Needham and the Dolphins agreed to a one-year contract Saturday, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
Needham appeared in five games with Miami during the 2023 campaign, recording seven tackles while playing 66 defensive snaps and 31 snaps with the special-teams unit. The 27-year-old will likely operate as a reserve option at cornerback with the Dolphins in 2024.

Dolphins' Nik Needham: Available Sunday

The 26-year-old corner is in line to make his first appearance of the season, as he tore his Achilles during Miami's 2022 Week 6 contest. Needham will add depth to a Dolphins secondary that will be without Xavien Howard (groin) for the second consecutive game.

The Dolphins designated Needham (Achilles) to return from the reserve/PUP list Wednesday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
Needham has spent the season on the PUP list as he recovers from a torn Achilles suffered last season but he is now closer to making his return. The 26-year-old will add solid depth to Miami's secondary once he's officially added to the active roster.

The Dolphins placed Needham (Achilles) on the reserve/PUP list Tuesday.
Needham will need to miss at least the first four games of the season as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury suffered last October. Once back to full health he's expected to handle a depth role at cornerback, which will be especially crucial for Miami with Jalen Ramsey (knee) expected to miss significant time.
