McCollough recorded 51 tackles (36 solo), including 2.0 sacks, and four pass defenses over17 games in 2025.
A small boost to playing time didn't translate to much improvement in the stat line in year two for McCollough, who had four interceptions in his rookie year but failed to earn one in 2025. The second-year safety did manage to earn his first sacks of his pro career and added eight more tackles year-to-year while functioning as a reliable backup behind Kamren Curl and Kamren Kinchens. With Curl entering free agency, McCollough may be asked to step into a starting role in 2026 if Curl chooses to depart.

Rams' Jaylen McCollough: Good to go Week 18
McCollough (hip) is available for Sunday's game against the Cardinals, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.
McCollough was able to shed an injury designation for Week 18 after logging a full practice Friday. The Rams intend to play their starters despite being limited to the NFC's fifth or sixth seed for the playoffs, but McCollough could still see a significant number of snaps on defense if either or both of Kamren Curl and Kamren Kinchens were to operate on a snap count.

McCollough followed up his limited tag from Wednesday's walkthrough with an official limited practice Thursday. The safety is nursing a hip injury that he suffered in Monday night's loss to the Falcons, and he'll have one more chance to be a full participant at practice before Sunday's matchup with the Cardinals.

McCollough was able to return to Monday's loss against the Falcons after briefly exiting due to a hip injury. He'll have two more chances to log a full practice and potentially avoid an injury tag for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Cardinals. McCollough fell ill Saturday and was added to the Rams' injury report as questionable for Sunday's matchup against Detroit. He ended up being able to play in that victory, logging a 65 percent defensive snap share. The second-year safety has been productive while playing a reserve role on defense as well as a significant share of snaps on special teams. In 13 games, he's totaled 38 tackles, 2.0 sacks and three passes defended. If McCollough sits out, then Chris Smith and/or Tanner Ingle could see increased playing time behind starting safeties Kamren Curl and Kamren Kinchens.

Rams' Jaylen McCollough: Promising rookie season
McCollough recorded 43 tackles and four interceptions (including a pick-six) across 17 games with the Rams in 2024.
McCollough signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent following the 2024 NFL Draft. He impressively made the team out of training camp and began the year primarily playing on special teams, though he proved to be a versatile playmaker on the defensive side of the ball when called upon. McCollough regularly played in the box, in the slot and at free safety, so there's a good chance he sees an expanded role somewhere in Los Angeles' defensive unit in 2025.

McCullough saw a season-high 18 defensive snaps, making the most of his opportunity in Week 7. The 24-year-old logged snaps at both free safety and strong safety in addition to cornerback, picking off Gardner Minshew twice in the second half.
