Matt Gotel: Gets another opportunity
Gotel (ankle) signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.
Gotel was waived by Seattle with an injury settlement in August. Now healthy, the West Florida product will now have another opportunity with the team.

Matt Gotel: Waived with injury settlement
The Seahawks waived Gotel (ankle) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Tuesday, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports.
Gotel sustained a high-ankle sprain in the week leading up to the Seahawks' preseason opener against the Chargers on Saturday. Once fully healthy, Gotel will be able to try out for a team in need of depth on the defensive line.

Seahawks' Matt Gotel: Reverts to IR
Gotel reverted to the Seahawks' injured reserve Saturday after clearing waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Gotel was waived/injured by the Seahawks on Friday due to a high-ankle sprain. The 25-year-old defensive tackle will now be forced to sit out for all of 2024 unless he reaches an injury settlement with Seattle.

Coach Mike Macdonald said Gotel was waived while dealing with a high-ankle sprain, per Condotta. That could imply that Gotel will reach an injury settlement with the Seahawks, assuming he clears waivers and reverts to what would otherwise be season-ending IR.
