Giants' Darius Muasau: Working his way back
Muasau (knee) was listed as limited on the Giants' injury report Wednesday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Muasau missed the team's Week 2 loss to the Commanders after being unable to get on the practice field all week. His return, albeit limited, Wednesday is a step in the right direction for the rookie out of UCLA. Barring any setbacks, he's likely on the right trajectory to suit up this Sunday against the Browns.

Giants' Darius Muasau: Missing Week 2
Muasau (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's contest against the Commanders.
This news comes as no surprise, as the rookie linebacker out of UCLA was held out of practice all week due to a knee injury following an impressive NFL debut that featured six total tackles and a pick in Week 1. Expect Micah McFadden to see increased work in the Giants' linebacker corps while Muasau continues to recover.

Giants' Darius Muasau: Nabs interception in NFL debut
Muasau posted six tackles (four solo) and intercepted a pass in a Week 1 loss to the Vikings on Sunday.
Muasau had a successful NFL regular-season debut after being selected in the fourth round of April's NFL Draft. The linebacker recorded two particularly notable plays -- an interception of Sam Darnold late in the third quarter and a tackle of running back Myles Gaskin for a three-yard loss late in the fourth, though Minnesota was essentially running out the clock on the latter play. Muasau played 82 percent of New York's defensive snaps in the contest, earning that workload with his strong play. Per Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site, Micah McFadden was slated to be on a snap "pitch count" if Muasua struggled, but McFadden didn't end up seeing the field due to the rookie's performance.

Giants' Darius Muasau: Big Apple bound in Round 6
The Giants selected Muasau in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 183rd overall.
Muasau began his college career at Hawaii before transferring to UCLA for this final two seasons. He started all 26 times during his time as a Bruin, racking up 166 tackles in those campaigns. He's undersized at just under 6-foot and 225 pounds, but he has 4.70 speed to hunt down ball carriers. Muasau projects as a depth piece behind Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden in the middle of the Giants' linebacking corps.
