Robby Fabbri had a promising start to his NHL career for the St. Louis Blues when the 19-year-old scored the game-winning goal in his pro debut last week. Unfortunately for Fabbri and the Blues, he is currently sidelined with a concussion after he was hit in the head by Minnesota's Chris Porter on Saturday night.
Head injuries are always a big deal, but what makes this one even more concerning is this quote from Blues coach Ken Hitchcock on Monday night.
Hitchcock: "We're going to miss Robby. I was surprised about the concussion because he had three great shifts after the concussion."

That's either a poor choice of words by Hitchcock or gross negligence on the part of the Blues.
Or a failure with the NHL's concussion protocol to allow him back into the game. Or a combination of the three.
Fabbri was the Blues' first-round pick, No. 20 overall, in 2014. With him sidelined it's expected that veterans Scottie Upshall or Scott Gomez, both of whom were in Blues camp on tryout deals, will get an opportunity in the lineup.
This is the play that Fabbri was injured on.
