St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong had a busy morning on Tuesday.
First, the team re-signed veteran forward Jamie Langenbrunner to a one-year contract. Shortly after that transaction was announced, the team then traded forward B.J. Crombeen, along with a fifth-round draft pick, to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for two fourth-round picks.
Terms of the Langenbrunner contract were not released by the team, but it's reportedly worth $1.25 million. He made $2.75 million last season and scored six goals to go with 18 assists in 70 games.

“We are excited that Jamie has agreed to stay in St. Louis,” said Armstrong in a statement released by the team. “His professionalism and leadership both on and off the ice are invaluable assets for our club.”
At the age of 36 he's clearly not the goal-scorer he once was, but he was still one of the Blues' top possession players this past season.
Crombeen had been with the Blues since the 2008-09 season and this past season scored one goal to go with two assists in 40 games, playing mostly in a fourth-line role. In 288 career games he's scored 28 goals.
He's signed for more season at a salary cap hit of $1 million. He will be eligible for unrestricted free agency after this season.
Earlier in the day the Lightning also signed Teddy Purcell to a three-year contract extension.
