The Pittsburgh Penguins lost their composure on Sunday, and then they lost the game.

They also may have lost the series. Frankly, given the way they've played so far it's hard to see them winning a game, let alone four straight.

Philadelphia's 8-4 win gave the Flyers a commanding 3-0 series lead and pushes the Penguins to the brink of elimination heading into Game 4 on Wednesday night. It's also a game the Penguins may have to play without a couple of players due to their embarrassing team-wide collapse on Sunday.

If you thought the first period was wild, the third period provided a similar scene. There were more fights, a questionable hit from James Neal away from the puck on Sean Couturier, and Craig Adams pulling Scott Hartnell's hair. Yes. We actually reached hair pulling in this series.

And here is Neal's hit on Couturier, Philadelphia's rookie sensation that has gone up against -- and shut down -- Evgeni Malkin all series.

There was no penalty on the play.

For the Penguins it was yet another complete failure from top-to-bottom. Defensive breakdowns, abysmal goaltending and a performance that should leave the entire organization embarrassed.

It's the second straight game they've given up eight goals, and have allowed 20 in the first three games. It was also yet another game where they scored first and then couldn't stop Philadelphia.

In the end, everything that's happened in this series has been completely unexpected. And that includes the fact that most composed and cleanest player in Sunday's game was none other than Pittsburgh's Matt Cooke.
