Poor Kings, the LA media is at it again.
It was a recurring theme -- or joke, if you'd like -- last postseason how often the local news stations in Los Angeles were getting things wrong about the eventual Stanley Cup champion Kings.
It all started with confusing their logo with the NBA's Sacramento Kings and spiraled all the way out of control until the Kings put forth a very helpful (and detailed) infographic so the media members in LA would get it right.
It's not working.
With camps opening this week, the fine people at NBC 4 in LA did their duty to go cover the Kings as they begin their quest for a repeat. Despite the fact that these players were great and gave Los Angeles its first hockey championship, they still didn't get the names right, as Bailey the mascot pointed out on Twitter.
"Hey @NBCLA come on guys Shoot me a tweet I can help you get the names right #heretoHELP"
For those that do need the help, that's not Darryl Sutter above, as should have been perfectly clear when realizing he didn't have his Bitter Beer Face on; it's Dustin Penner. In the bottom picture it's not Dustin Penner; it's Jarret Stoll.
Keep trying, LA media. One of these days you'll get it.
