Entering play Wednesday night the Pittsburgh Penguins had lost eight consecutive overtime playoff games.
That streak came to an end for them in a 3-2 Game 4 victory against the Washington Capitals when Patric Hornqvist scored 2:34 into the extra period.
The goal, Hornqvist's fifth of the playoffs, not only gave the Penguins a victory, but also gave them a 3-1 lead in their second-round series.
Here is a look at Hornqvist's goal, which came off a tough turnover by Capitals defenseman Mike Weber right in front of his own net.
What a time to find a loose puck.

It is a huge win for the Penguins not only because it gives them a two-game lead in the series, but also because it came on a night where they were playing with two of their top defenseman in Kris Letang (suspension) and Olli Maatta (injury).
Maatta's return is not yet known, but Letang will be back for Game 5 in Washington on Saturday night.
