Mueller is currently plying his craft with EC Salzburg of the EBEL, Mark Divver of The Providence Journal reports.
Mueller spent the 2016-17 campaign with AHL Providence after failing to turn his professional tryout with the Bruins into a permanent contract. Through the first three games of the EBEL season, the former eighth overall pick has registered a goal and two assists.

Peter Mueller: Released from PTO
Mueller was released Sunday from his professional tryout with the Bruins, Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe reports.
Mueller's last NHL action came in 2012-13, and he's since played in both Switzerland and Sweden. The 28-year-old received a shot at training camp with some players away at the World Cup of Hockey but didn't do enough in his time to earn a longer look. He's now free to shop around with other clubs.

Bruins' Peter Mueller: Inks PTO with Bruins
Mueller signed a professional tryout agreement with the Bruins on Wednesday, ESPN's Pierre LeBrun reports.
NHL teams will be light on players in training camp due to the World Cup of Hockey, which opens the door for guys like Mueller, who spent the past three seasons in Europe, to get a hard look in a tryout. The one-time first-round pick (Coyotes, 2006) has produced 160 points (63 goals, 97 assists) in 297 career NHL games.
