Dwight King: Staying in Europe
King agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Graz99ers (EBEL) on Friday, per his agency 37 Hockey.
King spent last season playing in the KHL in what was a somewhat lackluster year, considering he managed a mere 14 points in 49 contests. Without a strong campaign, the former Los Angeles King likely didn't have any NHL suitors, which is why he will try his luck in Austria.

Dwight King: Headed for Russia
King agreed to terms on a two-year deal with KHL Avtomobilist Jekaterinburgh on Monday, KHL Insider Aivis Kalnins reports.
King was brought in by the Habs at the trade deadline last season in an attempt to add some toughness and grit to their lineup -- with the hope of making a deep playoffs run. That clearly didn't pan out as Montreal was bounced in the opening round by the Rangers and has since moved on from the winger. In 80 total appearances last season, the Saskatchewan native notched nine goals and seven helpers. Considering he has broken the 20-point threshold just twice in his career, King's move to Russia should probably impact only a handful of fantasy owners in the deepest of leagues.

Dwight King: Moving on from Montreal
King will be let go by the Canadiens, the team announced Thursday.
King was brought in via trade at the deadline last season in an attempt to add some toughness to the Habs' lineup, but the organization apparently wants to go in a different direction now. The winger managed just one goal in 17 outings with Montreal.

Canadiens' Dwight King: Records two shots in loss
King fired two shots and registered one blocked shot in Wednesday's loss to Buffalo.
Since being traded to the Canadiens at the deadline, King has yet to record a point in 15 games played. Before the trade, the big winger scored eight goals and added seven assists in 63 games for Los Angeles. Part of the reason for the scoring lull is his decline in ice time since the trade -- it's dropped from 15:00 to 11:57. Of course, the Canadiens certainly didn't add King to help them offensively, as he's more of a grinder and penalty killer.

Canadiens' Dwight King: Makes Montreal debut
King had five hits over 10:37 of ice time in Thursday's 2-1 win over Nashville.
King, who was making his debut for the Canadiens after being acquired at the trade deadline, skated on the fourth line and played on the penalty-kill unit. Montreal is under no delusion that King's the answer to its goal-scoring problem, but his physical nature should deliver hits and make Montreal a tougher team.

Canadiens' Dwight King: Moves to Habs with trade
King was traded from Los Angeles to Montreal for a conditional fourth-round draft pick in 2018.
Evidently, the Habs are serious about stuffing their forward lines with gritty and sizable players. They brokered a deal with Detroit for agitator Steve Ott on Tuesday night and now acquire King, who stands at 6-foot-4 and 232 pounds and is a tough one to knock off the puck. His marginal fantasy utility comes in the form of hits, as he's laid into opponents 509 times since entering the league in 2010-11.

Kings' Dwight King: Nets eighth goal in losing cause
King scored his eighth goal of the season in Saturday's loss to the Panthers.
After a long stretch with no production, King has struck for three goals in his last seven games. The 27-year-old isn't a great fantasy option due to his 14 points and lack of power-play time, but his ability to find twine on occasion makes him valuable in some deeper leagues.

Kings' Dwight King: Point drought reaches 15 games for Kings
King hasn't registered a point in 15 games and has just one goal since the start of December.
King's a regular presence in LA's lineup and averages over 15 minutes of ice time but doesn't see any power play time to be of any use unless your format rewards him for his 64 hits.

Kings' Dwight King: Fires home two goals in win
King scored two goals in a 4-2 win over the Islanders on Wednesday.
King's third and fourth snipes of the season came within 25 seconds of each other with less than three minutes left in regulation, handing Los Angeles the win. He doesn't produce a ton offensively with just eight points in 21 games, but the 27-year-old has a solid plus-7 rating, averages over 15 minutes of ice time per game and has dished out 32 hits this season, making him potentially valuable in deeper leagues given his cross-category coverage.

Kings' Dwight King: Records two points Tuesday
King scored his first goal of the season and added an assist in a 7-0 rout of the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
King also skated to a whopping plus-4 at the expense of the Leafs in 13:35 of ice time. He's been seeing time in the Kings' top six lately, so clearly skating on the wing with someone like Jeff Carter has its perks (he assisted on Carter's second-period tally in this one). King isn't likely to showcase any type of sustained production, but he might be worth a shot in daily formats while he's being deployed in a favorable spot in L.A.'s lineup.
